I held my pistol as I walked next to Evie as she was reading about curses. I heard loud footsteps from behind us. I tightened my grip on the pistol as we turned around. Rick ran towards us and said,
"Oh ladies!"

I narrowed my eyes at him,
"You're still here O'Connell."

He ignored my comment,
"We've got a problem."

All of the sudden meteors began to fall to the ground and light things on fire. I felt him grab my hand and pull me with him as we ran for cover. I saw Evie run next to me as we approached the staircase. I watched the city in horror as it burned. All of the sudden I heard a slam from behind me. I looked back to see that Rick had shoved Beni up against a wall,
"Where have you been?"

All of the sudden there was a loud roar. All of us ran up the stairs and into Mr.Burns room. I heard Evie gasp as I saw that Mr.Burns had been sucked dry by Imhotep Imhotep turned around as roared at us. I pushed Evie behind me as Rick shot at him. He walked towards us and grabbed Rick and threw him backwards into Jonathan, Henderson, and Daniels which caused them to fall over.  Imhotep turned to Evelyn and I, I shoved her towards the boys as I backed up into a cabinet.

I whimpered as he touched my cheek as said,
"Ashara."

Suddenly memories flooded my mind. They were from my past life. I snapped back to reality as he was leaning into kiss me. I shoved my hands against his chest as I moved my head away so he couldn't kiss me. I looked past his shoulder to see a cat step on to the piano keys. Imhotep turned around and screamed as he turned into sand and disappeared. I took a deep breath as I stepped away from the cabinet. I saw Evelyn stand up and brush herself off as I walked towards Rick and offered him my hand.

He glanced at my hand before taking it in his own. I pulled him to his feet and looked down at me. I looked at him before looking around at the group before saying,
"Meet me at my room in five."

I quickly walked back to my room and changed into black pants and a blouse. I brushed out my hair before I heard a knock on my door. I dropped the brush before I opened my door to see everyone there. I grabbed Evelyn's hand and pulled her along with me as everyone trailed behind us. I walked over to Jonathan's car and hopped into the drivers seat.

I looked over as I started the car to see them all watching me in confusion,
"Get in."

Evelyn shrugged and hopped in and everyone followed in suit. I drove through the streets as Jonathan asked,
"Um sister, where are we going?"

I rolled my eyes,
"There has to be something at the museum."

I hurriedly walked through the halls, as everyone speed walked to keep up with me. We turned the corner as we hurried towards his office. I cleared my throat as I said,
"There's only one person I know who can give us any possible answers."

We turned a corner once more only to see the curator talking to the Medjai from the other night. Evie gasped as all the men raised their guns,
"You!"

I placed my hands on my hip as The curator said,
"Ladies, Gentlemen."

I nodded my head towards the Medjai,
"What is he doing here?"

The curator laughed,
"Would you like to know? Or would you rather shoot us?"

Rick holstered his weapons,
"After what I've seen, I'm willing to go on a little faith."

I paced back and forth as they explained that they were both part of a secret society that for 4,000 years has been protecting the world from Imhotep. I had also learned that the Medjai name was Ardeth Bay.

I saw Rick raise his hand,
"Question. Why doesn't he like cats?"

I couldn't help but smile before the Curator responded,
"Cats are the guardians of the underworld. He'll fear them now but when he is fully regenerated he won't fear anything."

Daniel cleared his throat,
"You know how he gets himself fully regenerated?"

Henderson sighed,
"By killing everyone who opened that chest."

Daniels threw his hands in the air,
"And suckin em dry that's how!"

I sighed as I turned around and pointed at Jonathan who was messing with Seti's exhibit,
"Jonathan stop messing with that."

I turned around and faced Ardeth and the curator and I sighed,
"Imhotep, the mummy, shows a certain interest in me. He has called me Ashara, my past life's name. Then just back in Mr.Burns quarters he tried to kiss me. I don't understand why isn't he coming for Anck-su-namun?"

The two men looked at one another as the curator said,
"It is true that his love for Anck-su-namun got him cursed, yes. Before he was mummified he told the Medjai he would come back for his true queen. After 4,000 years his true love was...."

Ardeth stood up and crossed his arms across his chest,
"He was still in love with his wife, Ashara."

I rolled my eyes,
"He can love her all she wants. She hates him for betraying her and killing her father. She will never forgive him."

Ardeth sighed,
"Still, he will try to raise her from the dead."

The curator cleared his throat,
"And it seems he has chosen his human sacrifice."

I felt everyone's eyes on me as I pinched the bridge of my nose,
"You know I wish this was like my usual dig sites. Where it was nice and calm, the occasional group who tried to kill you. Why couldn't that be my luck?"

Jonathan sighed,
"Bad luck little sis."

The curator stood up and held up his hand,
"On the contrary, it may give us the time we need to kill the creature."

Ardeth pointed to the sky outside,
"We need all the help we can get his powers are growing."

I looked outside and my hand immediately went to my mouth. The sun was now completely covered by a moon eclipse. There was no light anywhere, only darkness.

We all walked towards the window as Jonathan said,
"And he stretched forth his hand to the heavens, and there was darkness throughout Egypt."
