Shadows lurk and shadows play

What lies in those murky shapes?

Is it evil? or just unknown?

Curiosity to make me wonder

and bravery to urge me onward

what lies in the shadows of ones life?

sad memories and mistakes

darkness blots what we wish to forget

but we never can forget

insted we are left with shadows to hold their places

dark shapes that follow us in life

blemishes we keep hidden for fear of others knowing

shadows seek and hunt

they wonder your mind

looking for your weakness

a place to crack your armor

what darkness lies in ones heart?

the events before make it hard to love

hard to trust

but you try

for him

for her

you try to do what is hard

you try to love without fear

you try to trust without doubt

but its hard

the shadows haunt you even now
