Corbyn has had to go away for a few days to do some promo with the boys. I am due any day now and hope he's back in time as I would hate him to miss the birth of baby Astrid. I hope she hangs on in there just a couple more days till he's back because it would be heartbreaking of Corbyn missed the birth of our first child. We've been waiting for this for so long and our beautiful baby girl is nearly here. This promo tour was like a last minute thing that was only planned a few weeks ago so Corbyn obviously didn't want to be away from me especially at this time when I'm heavily pregnant. My mom has been with me since he left to look after me as I literally can't do anything with being so pregnant. Hope Corbyn is home in time to see our daughter come into the world. I'm at home with my mom atm and we are currently sitting on the couch. "How are you feeling, sweetie?" she asks. "Okay just uncomfortable obviously" I reply. "I know how you feel" mom said grasping my hand. "I just want Corbyn to be here" I say. "I know, love but hopefully he won't miss a thing" she said. "I hope not" I reply. Later on that day I start having contractions. They kept on coming every few minutes so my mom kept on monitoring them for me. They kept on coming like every five minutes so from my moms knowledge in the past. She said three children, she took me to the hospital. My waters haven't broken yet but they did as soon as we got there
My mom calls Corbyn to tell him I've gone into labor and I'm at the hospital. He said he's getting the next flight over from New York which is where they are at now. Hope he gets here in time. I'm not even halfway dilated yet so there is still sometime before baby Astrid makes an appearance. Hopefully she'll wait till her daddy is here. My mom is by my side till he gets here. So thankful she is. I couldn't do this alone. The midwives kept on checking on me to see how i was doing but still no sign of baby Astrid. I sit and wait patiently for something to happen. My mom keeps by my side till Corbyn arrives. Can't wait till he gets here to see our little baby girl being born. My mom keeps on getting me drinks so it's important I stay hydrated in this time. She keeps on updating Corbyn and he keeps on updating her. He's still a while off but hopefully should be here in time. Sometime has passed now and I'm almost fully dilated but baby Astrid is still taking her sweet time. I know she's waiting for her daddy to arrive. I know she is. I start to feel breathless like I'm going to pass out just before it's time to push. "Mom, I feel really breathless. I can't breathe" I say. "Here's some oxygen" mom said handing me some oxygen. "I feel like I need to push" I say. My mom calls on the midwives and I get ready to push. I blow on the oxygen and it helps me breathe. About 30 minutes or so later I'm still pushing but the door files open and Corbyn runs in. "I'm here, baby" he said. "Thank God. You are" I reply. My mom moves out of the way so Corbyn can stand next to me and hold my hand. He smiles and kisses me on the cheek and I carry on pushing and using the oxygen
Soon baby Astrid came into the world. As soon as she was born, the midwives cleaned her off wrapped her in a towel and handed her to me for skin to skin contact. Oh my gosh. She is so beautiful. "Hey, gorgeous girl. I'm your mommy" I say. "Hey, my precious girl. I'm your daddy" Corbyn said. "It's so amazing to finally meet you, little Astrid" I say. "It is. Me and your mommy have finally been waiting for 9 months to meet you and you're finally here" Corbyn said. We have some more moments with baby Astrid and she is so beautiful. "I'm so happy I was here for the birth. I really thought I was going to miss it" he said. "I know. Me too, babe but I'm so glad you made it to see our beautiful baby girl being born" I reply. "Me too. The boys understood when I had to rush off and be here with you. They know how much I wanted to be here" Corbyn said. "Awe, babe I love you and missed you so much" I say. "I missed you more. I'm so happy to be a dad at last and I will love this little girl with all my heart. Wow! Greatest moment of my life along with marrying you" he said. Corbyn holds Astrid and he gets emotional. "Most beautiful baby on this planet" he said. "She is and we made her too" I reply. "We did. With love. I still can't believe I'm finally a dad. Wait till I tell the boys" Corbyn said. "Yep I can't believe I'm finally a mom" I reply. Corbyn made it just in time for Astrid's birth. He would've been heart broken if he missed if but he didn't and we got some special moments with our beautiful baby girl who we are so in love with already
