Daniel 💜

Tonight Daniel and I are giving baby Teddy his first proper bath. He is now two weeks old and his umbilical cord stump has fallen off so we can give him his first bath. We know how to bathe him as we learnt at the prenatal class. We go into the kitchen with Teddy and run the water warm. Daniel does that while I get Teddy ready for his first bath. We hope he'll like it. "Can you test the water, babe?" Daniel asks. "Sure" I say sticking my elbow in the water to test it. "I think that's just right. Daniel lifts over the baby bath to the kitchen bench and I lift Teddy in. He doesn't flinch when I place him in the water. "Ohhh I think he likes that" Daniel said. "I think he does too" I reply. We let Teddy get used to the temperature and feel of the water before we wash him. Daniel passes me the baby lotion and sponge and I give him a good wash before wrapping him in his fluffy bear towel. We think Teddy enjoyed his first bath

Corbyn 💙

Corbyn and I are going to give baby Astrid her first bath. We are looking forward to giving her first bath to see if she likes it. We remember how to do it from the pregnancy classes we attend. We are bathing Astrid in the bathroom in the bath tub. Obviously we have a baby bath. Corbyn said he wants to do it. He absolutely loves being a dad and doing everything. He's a better parent than me. I'm telling you. I start running the water so it's warm. Corbyn is undressing Astrid in the nursery and getting her stuff ready for her bath. He brings her in wrapped in a towel. "She's all ready for her bath if you are" Corbyn said. "Yes just a minute. Almost there" I reply. A couple of minutes later and Astrid was ready for her bath. Corbyn unwraps her from the towel and lifts her into the bath and starts bathing her. I watch him as he does it as he wanted to do it. "She likes it. Don't you, baby girl" he said. "She does. The water if nice and warm for her" I reply. "It is. I wish I was her right now" he said. Corbyn splashes Astrid with water gently. I then take over and wash her while he holds her. We then lift her out and wrap and dry her in the towel and then put her pjs on for bed. Astrid's first bath went well

Jonah ❤️

Jonah and I are about to give the twins their first bath. Now that they are a few weeks old. We are giving them their first bath and we can't wait for that. We hope that both Lauren and Luke will enjoy their bath. We will be bathing them separately of course. We are doing it in the kitchen as there is more space in there than in the bathroom. We are bathing the twins together as we only have one baby bath. We are doing Lauren first as Luke is asleep so we'll do him after. Jonah fills the water while I get Lauren ready for her bath. I undress her and get the baby lotion and sponge ready and a towel laid out and some clothes for after. "Think that's the right temperature" Jonah said. "Yep it is" I say lifting Lauren into the bath. I hold her while Jonah splashes water over her and washes her. She wasn't too keen on the temperature at first but she got used to it. When we had bathed Lauren it was Luke's go. He just woke up. Jonah lifted him out of his Moses basket while I change the water and clean out the baby bath. We placed Luke in the water when Jonah had taken his clothes off. And repeat the same process we did for Lauren but this time Jonah was holding him and I was washing. "So we gave our babies their first bath" he said when we had finished. "Yes we did and it went really well" I reply hugging him. The twins will be able to take baths together when they are older

Jack 💚

Jack and I have been washing baby Joe most days since he was born. You can't bathe babies till their umbilical cord stump falls off which Joe's hasn't yet. We are still giving him washes till it's fallen off. We are gonna give him a wash now. Jack fills a warm basin of water in the bathroom and brings it into Joe's room. I undress him and start washing him with cotton wool and warm water. I think Joe likes the warm water on the cotton wool pads. I wash him and he enjoyed it. "Babe, can I have a go at washing him" Jack asks. "Yeah of course you can" I reply. "Thanks. I want to wash my boy" he said. Jack finishes washing Joe for a few minutes. I dry him off and then put him a fresh diaper and his pjs on. Then he was all good. "There nice and clean Joey" I say. "Yeah and daddy got to wash you too" Jack said kissing him. Hopefully soon we will get to bathe Joe properly when his umbilical stump falls off

Zach 🧡

Zach and I are going to give Emily her first bath. We are a little nervous about bathing her in case we hurt her or let her slip in the water but hopefully that won't happen. My mom has offered to help us and give us a hand and we've taken her up on that offer. She knows exactly what to do. We start by cleaning it out and filling the kitchen sink with warm water for Emily. My mom does that while Zach and I are getting her ready when the water was filled, we place Emily in the water. She doesn't really like it at first. "Mom, am I holding her right" I say. "Yes just perfectly but just make sure you hold her" mom replies. "Let me wash her" Zach said. "Of course" I reply. I let Zach take over and he washes Emily. She doesn't really like the water and kept on crying but she was okay when we got her out. We dried her off and wrapped her in a nice warm towel and put her pjs on. Christmassy pjs of course since it's Christmas
