Dong-Min
"So... should we introduce ourselves," the short blonde boy said.
"Ok! I'm Yoon Sanha!" the tall curly-haired boy said showing his braces.
"I'm Kim Myung Jun! But MJ for short!" the short brown-haired boy said.
"My name is Park Jin-Woo but call me Jinjin," the short blonde said.
"My name is Lee Dong Min, but you can call me Cha Eunwoo," I said.
"I'm Moonbin," the tall black-haired boy said.
"My name is Park Min Hyuk but call me Rocky," the short boy said his light brown hair combed neatly.
The first week was awkward, no doubt about it. We were just six boys who were paired up together to be housemates, bandmates, and second family in a span of a week.
I wanted to go back home with Jeong-Hui and go to school, but I promised myself I wouldn't leave. If I came home early what would Jeong-Hui think? I suddenly left and now I come back so soon because I miss her. She would probably think I'm pathetic... I would think I'm pathetic.
I just had to wait it out...
I didn't start actually considering the five boys friends until a week and 4 days into meeting them. We were all in the living room of our small apartment when Sanha pulled out his guitar.
"Let's sing a couple of songs, come on," Sanha said everyone following suit.
It wasn't just a "couple" songs, it was more like a million songs as when we suddenly checked the time it was three in the morning. We talked and sang and basked in our newly formed friendships in the ungodly hours of the morning.
We have always put the group, Astro, instead of the members. We weren't friends first and now that the thing that kept us together is gone, we are lost. I acknowledged them more as work partners than friends and now that the work partner 'title' is taken away we have no reason to stay friends.
I thought I would be happy the day I get to come back to see Jeong-Hui, but now I have to say goodbye to Astro. We lived together, performed together, and ate together so what will happen now that we aren't doing those things together.
I keep addressing the five boys as Astro. It was a minor detail but that was how I thought of them, they were Astro.
We were Astro.
We weren't MJ, Jinjin, Cha Eunwoo, Moonbin, Rocky, and Sanha so I assume this is for the best.
I'll hold on to the memories forever but I'll continue to make more whether with or without the five boys.
