Part 14

I was not happy. I thought I would be when this ends. I have destroyed him and I am not happy. And now I'm in this stupid date and I can't stop thinking about Alexander and I'm not thinking about past Alex. I mean the Alexander I came to know with these four months we were together. He adored Jasper and Elizu and treated them as his own, even though Elizu is his own but he don't know and never will...

"Hey! Are you listening?" Snapped Martin in front of me. So I came out of my mind

"Yeah, yeah. It's great!" I told knowing his only blabbed about himself and not asking anything about me or shown any interest in me. I have questioned for a thousand times "Why am I here?" and I can't find any logical answer. Only answer is that I owned him but I don't feel anything.

I felt so much more with Alexander and I lost it only because he is still hunted by the old me, the Jamie.

And then I saw him. Alexander walking past from our table with a blonde girl and I was so jealous so I just stood up and went outside to calm my nerves down. I was nauseous so I puked behind the corner. "Great now I'm sick too!" I sighted in my head

"Ever heard of protection?" Stranger asks. Some girl

"What?" I was shocked

"Well clearly you're pregnant for a month at least and from the shape of your body I can tell that you've already gave birth to couple of them and you also have this motherly worried face. You've gone trough a lot and right now you're here because you left someone and now that someone is in here while you're on a date and he has a date also." I was stunned:
"Are you sensitive some sort?"

"No. I am just a detective and here with this guy who you left and I'm 40 years old, so you have nothing to worry about and he is too head over heels for you. All he talked was you and all he now cries about is you. And about pregnancy. I have had 5 kids and I've learned a lot about humans in my 20 year career" she said, like it was little and I was amazed and suddenly I asked

"Do you wanna be a friend of mine?" She laughed and then put her hand towards me so I could shake it.

"Sure. I'm Melissa by the way. So friends?" she asked happily

"Friends." shook her hand and smiled.

We were sharing contacts and talked a little. When she left and Martin came out.

"What are you doing. I have been talking here for half an hour to realize you're gone. So let's go back inside" he grabbed my hand but I tore it away.

"Sorry, but it's not going to work out. I'll pay for the food but just go. Go!" I screamed and went inside. Payed the bill and waved at Melissa but when I was outside I broke down crying hysterically.

Asking help from Jasper and telling how pathetic I am and how stupid. When suddenly warm arms were around me whispering how It's not true and I knew it's Alexander but I didn't care because the name he was whispering wasn't Melissa's or Jamie's , it was mine. Elizabeth, my name. and he confessed how he had came earlier and heard how I repeated my plan to Martin and when some student run towards outside how he heard me thanking Martin for help.

I felt so stupid and cried. He eventually put me in my car and tooking the keys he drove me home.

"We will talk about it and us tomorrow" he whispered.
