Warnings: Underage Drinking, Maybe Some Swears, and Major Fluff

Based on the song by Maggie Lindemann

Y/N just couldn't take it anymore. Everything, everyone, it was all just getting to be too much for her. Going to a school as prestigious as the Bronx School of Science, came with high expectations, expectations that she just couldn't keep up with anymore. She just wanted a break. But apparently that was too much to ask for, because as soon as she wished for one, her teachers thought that it would be a great idea to pile on more work than usual. So, Y/N did the next best thing. Raid her parents' alcohol cabinet to attempt to numb the pain that was slowly eating away at her. Unfortunately for her, her parents only had some next level expensive wine left, but she decided that alcohol was alcohol, and took the bottle out to her porch and attempted to get as drunk as she could with wine.

After breezing through two bottles, she finally felt the numbness, and decided to take a walk around before making her way to the third bottle. She got up, feeling a little lightheaded, but she grabbed onto the fence on the porch, steadied herself, and started to walk around her yard, giggling a little every time she fell. The third time she fell, however, she couldn't manage to get up and the giggles turned into tears of frustration that had been waiting to come out all day. So, she just sat there, with tears running steadily down her checks, and wondering when she became so unhappy with her life.

...

Take me back to the night, we met in the yard
Climbing up to the roof, hidden in the dark
With a bottle of wine for two
Though I'm already drunk off you
Then we both fell asleep, underneath the stars

Peter was walking home, after leaving Liz's party early. Honestly, he didn't even know why he had shown up. It wasn't his crowd, and no matter how hard he tried to fit in, he will still always be the nerd who was obsessed with Star Wars. And he was ok with that. He was kicking rocks on the sidewalk as he was walking, when he heard quiet sobs coming from the yard of a house a couple of blocks down from Liz's. He looked at the house, noting that it wasn't as big as Liz's mansion, but still a considerably big house. All the lights were off, and the only source of light came from a street lamp in front of the neighbour's house. His eyes made out a figure sitting in the grass, with their knees pulled up in the arms, while their body slightly shook from the sobs they were letting out. Deciding that it probably wasn't safe to leave a vulnerable person alone outside in the middle of the night, Peter slowly approached them. As he got closer, he realized that the person was a girl, most likely around his age. When he was close enough to her, he stopped and spoke quietly so he didn't startle her. "Hey, you alright there?" The girl's head quickly whipped up, and looked at him as if she was trying to asses if he was dangerous. She apparently decided he wasn't, because she put her head back down into her arms.

Peter sat down next to her, making sure there was space between them, so he doesn't make her uncomfortable. "The stars are really pretty out here huh?" Peter asked, trying to ease her into a conversation. Instead of answering, the girl just shrugged, barely moving from her position. Peter sighed. This was going to be harder than he thought. "My name is Peter." He tried, hoping she would offer her name. All he got was a muffled response from her. "Sorry, what was that?" The girl brought her head up and looked at him. "Y/N." She said. Peter cracked a small smile at that. "Well, Y/N, it's nice to meet you." She looked at him for a second longer, before she burst into laughter. Uncontrollable giggles raked throughout her body, which only confused Peter further. "You're really cute." She slurred, dropping her head onto his shoulder. That's when Peter realized that Y/N was drunk, which only worried him more.
