Academy Graduation

It's been five years since we joined the academy meaning we are now twelve years old. And unfortunately Naruto is at the bottom of the class. Yeah he gets top marks with shuriken and taijutsu but he frankly sucks academically and can't perform a standard clone jutsu do to his vast chakra reserve. I'm However top of the class with perfect scores in all categories. Matter of fact I've been offered to graduate early several times but I refuse, Thankfully the hokage knows why.

Naruto has a basic relationship with most people in class. They either think he's a goofball like the clan kids think but most civilian kids hate him which is fine by me because they won't truly graduate in the end. My relationship with the class is interesting all of them view me in positive light but most are to intimidated to get to know me, I usually just give Hinata and Sakura a simple but kind gesture of hello and how's it going and I occasionally train with sasuke. Me and Naruto though are of course best friends and I'm quite glad for that. I can also tell this boy is the one talked about in prophesy which surprised me at first when I realized but made me excited for what's to come.

The Uchiha massacre was a shock for me when I had to deal with the mass migration of Uchiha to the afterlife and truth be told I was worried for sasuke. Yes I know the two boys are also the reincarnations of the sages son, I can read souls you know. Since the incident I'm am the only one sasuke has opened up too, because of our friendship beforehand. I've also upped his training . I wonder if Naruto is not only the boy of prophecy but also the reincarnation will he be able too end both cycles of pain and hatred. Or will he be the one to let the world burn. Either way I'm in for the ride just more intimately than I thought I was going to be when I first learned of the prophecy.

To my knowledge the hokage had the anbu members who knew about me memories sealed to keep it secret. So the only people who know are me , Sarutobi and the Sanin Jiraiya whom Sarutobi insisted on informing. The next hokage will be informed of this through classified documents. And if I remember correctly the hokage said that the toad master was against the ordeal, and I can't blame him. I mean who would want their godson to be followed by death his whole life.

I was called up to take my final exam and aced it in record time. And grabbed my headband which I decided to go with black so I could pair it with my half mask.

Once I pulled my half mask out and put it on you could see the instructors visibly tense and become increasingly uncomfortable. I walk back into the classroom  to be met with curious eyes that all turn to fear I can even see sasuke and shino gulp.

Naruto" wh-what's the mask for pal"

(Y/n) " when I go against an openent they need to know they are facing death himself."

A civilian girl passed out after I say that .

The rest of the exams go by and I see Naruto fails. But he asked me to give him some space for now. So I decided to pay the hokage a visit. I walk to the office and the secretary try's to stop me because apparently he is busy but I told her to tell him my name. After she told him she said that he'll be ready in a moment. Just then I see a group of anbu suddenly kicked out of the hokage office. And they are quite confused . I walk in the office getting even more confused stares from the anbu who were probably in the middle of discussion.

Sarutobi " ye-yes lord death how may be of assistance."

I pull out a scythe and release a chilling atmosphere.

(Y/n) " Hiruzen your time is up"

He pales as his pipe falls on his desk ad he scurries away

Sarutobi " what but I can still feel some life in these old bones. Please not yet there is much I must still do"

I put away the scythe and  stop the chill

(Y/n) " calm Down lord hokage I'm actually here about Naruto. It was just a prank you still got some life to ya matter of fact even with the smoking is reckon your body will last you atleast ten more years even more if you quit the smoking"

Sarutobi " lord have mercy I've fought in three great wars and took on the ninetails and the most terrifiedI have ever been has come from the body of a twelve year old, you know I think the Uzumaki has rubbed off on you, but still  I can't believe you can call that a prank...... What exactly did you want to talk about."

(Y/n) " simple I want you to teach Naruto shadow clone jutsu. His chakra is so high that even with perfect control he would never be capable of making a normal clone, which is the only thing holding him back from graduating. He has what it takes to be a ninja and the chakra capacity to preform the jutsu safely. I feel with your guidance he will be learn the jutsu in no time and progress even further as a ninja. And if the council asks why you taught him you can say it was to ensure that as a jinchuriki he would be able to fight for the leaf. Just be prepared for danzo's attempt to take him under his wing. All you gotta do is tell him no."

Sarutobi " i see that is reasonable if I teach him how to use shadow clones he may even be able to grow more rapidly. Very well I'll teach him tommorow before the teams are assigned. Iruka will be informed and the final class meeting will be pushed back to a later hour."

I went home and fell asleep. Don't worry if Naruto was in life threatening danger I would know because I am watching over him all the time with the extension of my energy. Needless to say the next morning I was surprised by finding out Naruto was set up to steal the forbidden scroll and turned on by mizuki sensei. The guy must have been so week that he wasn't even a threat. But unfortunately for the hokage he had to teach the boy the full jutsu over night so he didn't half hazily used the jutsu. Which must have exhausted the old man who wanted nothing more than To sleep after a day of paperwork.
