We are halfway to where the akatsuki took gaara when we are stopped by kisame and Itachi  before anything can be said or done I spoke up.

(Y/n) " I know this jutsu these are two people using their bodies as puppets to be conduits for the akatsuki they aren't the real members just controlled by them, they also don't have all the abilities of the real guys, so the Sharingan won't work against us. Be careful I'll take shark boy you all can take Itachi hurry up and get it over with we may be ahead of schedule but we don't know what they are doing too

I ran away from my group making the swordsman follow me. And when I felt I was a comfortable distance I stopped and sidestepped a blow from the samehada clone.

He used a massive water jutsu that I let myself be caught in he began to swim around it and cause a vortex while in the center of the vortex he he used water prison on me and turned the vortex into spiraling water sharks.

Kisame pov

I watched as my sharks tore the supposed worlds strongest shinobi to shreds, the water turned a visceral red and I saw a arm float by then be eaten by one of the Sharks. I then tried to sense any chakra if he somehow survived which their was no chakra, and then I made sure I wasn't under genjutsu which I was not then I released my Jutsu's and began to walk back toward the other leaf ninja that's when my neck felt cold and my connection to the body was severed.

(Y/n) pov

I shushined back to the other members of my squad and saw them about to finish off Itachi by he then turned to crows and appeared behind me I then spoke

(Y/n) " I see kisame also go stronger but didn't know to never let your guard down. he fell for a blood clone I'm sure he'll be confused as to what happened so tell that to him id like to see him get even stronger. As for you that was pretty impressive how you had them all under genjutsu without any of them realizing look they still are fighting each other but I'm afraid that where your distraction is going to end because I see kakashi readying a raikiri to use on Sakura. Tell your bosses that they need to get stronger if they believe this will be enough to prevent me from protecting Naruto."

I was horrified that this entire time I was already defeated. I then looked around and noticed I was back sealing the one tail.

Kisame " what the hell happened Itachi I had defeated my man then i was here then a minute later you return but were frozen stiff and wouldn't reply"

Itachi " I was defeated"

Deidara " that  doesn't really explain the situation asshole how long till they come knocking at the cave because at this rate I doubt the seals will give us enough time."

Itachi " I had the whole group you left to me under genjutsu I was about to kill the stragglers and capture the nine tails  then I noticed your opponent come. Back through the Forrest kisame I had appeared behind him then he started speaking to me saying how you had fallen for a blood clone And how we as a organization are not strong enough to prevent him from protecting the nine tails jinchuriki. When I asked him why he thought I could be easily defeated, he revealed he had already beat me and that I was talking to him under the most powerful genjutsu I have ever witnessed. It prevented me from returning to my own body after the vessel was defeated. I did not realize I was under the genjutsu at all, I'm positive if he had not released me he could keep me in it indefinitely. "

Itachi " so I could tell you about it, he seems to have so much faith in his abilities he views us as insignificant, actively daring us to get stronger so we could entertain him"

Sasori " what do you suppose we do now then?"

Itachi " leave the one tail and retreat we can try again when we are stronger if not you two will surely be killed and we will still not have the first tailed beast collected. Only failure awaits."
