First team mission

I've completed well over a two hundred d rank missions and fifty five anbu mission in the span of two weeks and needless to say the hokage was surprised by how quick and efficient I worked. Well it doesn't hurt I could be multiple places at once and I don't mean clones I mean I can make several bodies all with a connected mind. When Sarutobi asked me about this I informed him it's not a jutsu its because death is everywhere. Obviously he gulped at this and almost choked on his pipe in the process. Today in being Called to the hokage office for a different reason today is going to be my first c rank mission as a genin and they are going to put me with a team. When I'm about to enter the hokage building I see team seven exit followed by a drunken old man. Naruto looked towards me where I gave him a look of pity. To which he mouthed save me, in response I gave him a shrug.

I continue on my way to the hokages office and I'm met by Sarutobi and iruka.so I had to play my role.

(Y/n) " you summoned me lord hokage? "

Sarutobi " indeed young (l/n), I see it befitting for you to take on your first c rank mission. I have summoned a genin team here for you to partner up with on this mission. (A knock on the door is heard) ah here they are. Come in "

I watch as four people enter the room three are genin who are a year older than my current body and a jonin with massive eyebrows.

Sarutobi " hello team guy I have a mission for you and I would like (y/n) here to join you in it. "

After hearing it was team guy I recognized the group because I've been informed to learn about all genin squads.

I look at the group to feel them out as they all stare at me in return.

(Y/n) " nice to meet each of you my name is (y/n) (l/n) I've heard of your squad before I look forward to working together with you."

Guy " I agree young (y/n) but may I ask where is your team? "

(Y/n) " oh I don't have a team I work independently unless the hokage decides to place me with a squad for certain missions. This is my first team mission so I'll make sure not to hold you guys back ."

After I spoke I could see that guy was wondering about me not being in a squad but refused to speak up on the matter probably believed the hokage had his reasons. You see through my research about the squad I learned that despite his personality might guy is actually quite the intelligent man even for jonin standards.

Sarutobi " your mission is to deliver this sealing scroll to the daimiyo of the land of spices. Inside are important ingredients for a certain medicine the daimiyos head doctor has been working on. If things turn out well we will gain a valuable trade partner with a new type of medicine. You are not expected to meet any resistance but if word about the mission has gotten out expect This to escalate to a B or even possibly A rank mission. The daimiyo will pay accordingly to the difficulty. Your squad was chosen because there is a secondary objective, that is to train the daimiyos grandson for a week in taijutsu. The grandson is unable to use chakra but his grandfather wishes for him to learn how to protect himself. Also this may be mr (l/n) first c rank mission but he is quite skilled so don't worry about him getting in the way I'm positive he is already at chunin level if not higher .you are dismissed"

The last comment seemed to grab each of their attention

We meet up at the front gate now all fully geared for the mission and start to head off.

Neji " the hokage seems to think quite highly of you however I doubt someone who hasn't ever completed a C rank mission or even worked as a team will ever be able to call themselves a chunin level ninja. So make sure not to get in our way . "

I smirk to myself because I can feel his fathers disappointment in his attitude although he does understand. You see it always interesting to hear how the deceased respond to the actions of the living for example kushina Uzumaki was ecstatic when ichiraku were kind to me and Naruto despite the hatred for the blonde that was felt around the village. She even stated I knew that ichiraku really was the best ramen stand in the world, she also was full of motherly pride when Naruto developed the same ramen obsession that she had.

I continue to follow the squad as we make our way out of the Forrest surrounding the outskirts of the leaf village and we face no difficulties however this is at least a month long mission given the distance from the lands and the time we must spend training the grandson of the daimiyo. 

We all abruptly stop once we are met with a trip wire and we realize that it's a trap. However who it's for is unknown. We decided to fall back and hide as my shadow clone sets off the trap. After my clone activated the trap he is then  after a couple of minutes surrounded by a group of bandits. I then notice who is leading them and order my clone to knock the bandits out except the leader. Once he succeeds in that after some quick taijutsu the leader is also  bound and unable to do anything. I then jump out of hiding and interrogate him about the trap apparently he had heard about the mission and wanted to steal the ingredients for himself to sell. I then knocked him out and placed him in a stasis seal. The rest of the squad came out and I told them the information I had gathered.

(Y/n) " it seems the mission information has gotten out so expect further and more difficult opponents down the line. We got lucky facing someone so pathetic so close to the leaf village to inform us of the future dangers. Also I'm quite lucky this guy is a rouge genin from the waterfall village . He has a small bounty that states he needs to be taken alive so I sealed him in indefinite stasis. As for these bandits I recommend taking their weapons and leaving them tied up here as punishment. "

The team was shocked by my skill
And quick deduction.

Guy " good going (y/n) I recommend we leave the weapons to ten ten do she can add to her arsenal.  After that well be on our way however now we'll have neji activate his byakugan for the journey. also I'm surprised you know the bingo books so well someone of his low stature wouldn't have made it into a leaf bingo book so that must mean you know more than one ."

(Y/n) " yeah well  I like to be educated on any possible bounties my opponents may have it also gives you a one up in combat knowing their abilities. Also ten ten if any of them have a scythe is like it please and thank you."

Ten ten " non of them had one but I have a couple stored in my scrolls so here's one."

I nodded with gratitude and sealed the weapon for my self we then continued on our way. All aware it was now a harder mission.
