Part 12: Interlude

Jake
This was perhaps the most compromising situation i had ever been caught in. Both girls stared at me as if their whole lives depended on my forthcoming announcement. Their faces registered total anticipation with eyes pleadingly staring. Mary's eyeballs were dancing as she shifted uneasily probably out of impatience. Lisa appeared a little bit composed with traces of tension in her stature.

The picture before me inspired some false sense of stardom. I felt pride flow through me owing to my stance. I was controlling two souls at a go. This proved beyond any doubt that they could be at my disposal anytime i wanted. Wolf blood was really part of me. My appetite was magnified as i watched both girls begging for my attention. I loved Lisa. I had feelings for Mary.

"Jake!"
Mary startled me interrupting my line of thoughts.

"We are waiting for your intervention goddamn!" She added.

"Well uum,i am torn between you two girls...err...i mean I'm not even thinking straight...if you could give me..."

"Some time? Hell no! Say it right away!" Lisa caught me mid sentence.

" I think i got a leeway to this Jake" Mary shot back.

We both stared at her. Mischief was already written on her face. Lisa made as if to object but thought it wise as her lips pursed as quickly.

"Alright, see Jake, both of us know Lisa couldn't offer you what i offered, her attention was most of the time entirely directed elsewhere and much as she claims i lured her into playing hard to you,if she really loved you she could not have listened to me...so that gives you a rough picture of how shallow she can offer especially..."

"Hey dummy! Shut the fuck up! You barely know me...!" Lisa interjected.

I was torn between bursting out with laughter and thumbing up to myself. Shit,the whole thing was getting lovelier amid the confusion. I wanted so much to give a unidirectional answer but that could awaken a duel.

Tension seemed to be building up each minute as both girls stared at me. I could feel the energies from both. They were all lovely and attractive despite the unfolding drama.

"Look,this shouldn't be happening in the first place, let's take our time girls" I tried to be sensible.

Mary's face formed what appeared to be mischievous creases as she bit on her  lower lip. She seemed to enjoy the predicament much as it sounded unfound. Each moment i looked at her memories of our short affair replayed in my mind and i couldn't help but feel the yearning rebuild again.

Lisa on the other hand appeared remorseful and a little bit moved. She was staring at me inconclusively as if waiting for me to affirm her wishes. I actually loved her but i didn't want to lose Mary. Greed could be the possible answer to my indecisiveness. I couldn't just declare to their faces that i loved one of them i only said it to buy time. Time to hatch a fair plan for them hence avoiding a possible duel which could go long-term.

"Jake for fuck's sake you are clearly making me feel uncomfortable, do you even know what you are doing?" Lisa wasn't about to take bait.

"Can't you let him think of how he's going to denounce you dumb ass? It's hard if you ask me" Mary provided while sneering.

Both girls stared daggers at each other. I almost laughed at Mary's way with words. She could actually provoke anybody with her sense of humour. The more reason i admired her. See,i loved matching vibes for hook ups as they could liven the moments each time. Mary was best suited for that. Lisa was the genesis of the ensuing drama and it wouldn't be understated if i just said i loved her. The problem was i couldn't pull myself together for that. I wanted them both.

Just then the door creaked open and to my surprise James walked in holding Colliah by the waist. Wtf!

"I propose a threesome for you guys" He said jokingly.

This was a welcome surprise as it interrupted our profound moment which had been so tense.

"What's going on Lisa?" Colliah asked.

"Well,uum...nothing really and if you excuse me i got somewhere to go"  Lisa blurted out as she headed for the door.

" Hey we ain't done here yet coward!" Mary shouted at Lisa.

James gave me a knowing stare as he smiled . Colliah wore a puzzled expression just then. Mary wasn't clearly letting this go even for a second.

Lisa stood by the door and eyed me pleadingly. Damn she was really beautiful. Those eyes were so inviting. She looked pale alright but she caused a lot of sexual tension to my system. She seemed upset by every scene that was unfolding in her room then and she probably wanted sometime alone.

"I love you Jake" she said as she banged the door behind her.

It sounded sensual and genuine. I almost said it back but couldn't manage a squeal. I could feel the emotional surge though.

"Hope you are not convinced babe" Mary said smiling.

"Can somebody please tell me what's going on? I'm so lost here" Colliah inquired innocently.

"Yeah could somebody just tell us what we are missing here" James added mischievously.

I couldn't help but feel sorry for Colliah. James was on a recovery mission after his recent diss by Phiona. She was just being a makeup for it. She seemed too innocent for anything.

"Uum nothing really,we were just talking" I said.

Mary sprung up from her bed and hugged me instantly. She planted a kiss on my cheeks and pulled me close to her. I was amused by her actions.

"I love you better than she can just give me a chance to prove it" she said.

I stood there speechless. My heart was thudding loudly. It all seemed a déjà vu again.

"Perhaps we should leave" James said signalling a confused Colliah. With that they walked out.

"How do your like you apples delivered?"

...
"Ripe"

There was a distant rumble of thunder as she drew the curtains.
