Snow was falling lightly, and the air was crisp. It was freezing yet no one felt it.
The only feeling was the extreme tension as the man held Alice's hand. He thought for a moment, getting a glimpse at the future only she could see.
Bella dismissed Jacob and told her to care for her daughter, and everyone tensed up.
Little did they know Leo was watching from the shadows, behind the trees. Far enough to avoid being seen, but close enough to really fuck someone up if they went after her niece.
And in a heartbeat, fighting began.
Leo stepped quietly into the clearing, seeing Embry fighting a vampire, and then two
Carlisle and Jasper were already dead. She could see the pain on everyone's faces, pain that drove everyone to uncontrollable rage.
Two vampires raced after the wolf and the small girl. One was quickly torn apart. Despite not having powers in her human form, she was incredibly strong. The tall girl broke his neck with her bare hands, ending his life.
She moved back into cover, not wanting to be seen unless she was desperately needed. The only thing that mattered to her was her niece
Her mate wasn't hers,
Her sister had forgotten her,
And those surrounding her sister never gave her a second thought,
So why jump into a fight that wasn't hers.
