Oh my, how embarrassing. Well, no matter— I am positive no one would willingly educate themselves on my family bloodline.
In case you are ever intrigued by the royal family of Qustelan, I assure you I am at least knowledgeable in this.
I am called Finn. Finn Laffitte.
My family consists of my father, my mother, my older brother, Alexander, and me. My brother's full name is Alexander Lafitte XX. (That means the twentieth.) Because he is the first son, he received the same name as all the other first sons in the family line. I used to thank the Gods I was not direct heir to the throne.
Do you see the portrait up there? The one with the two boys? The boy with the swords is Alexander. Look at him, reader. How charismatic, you must be thinking. How athletic he must be. He really looks like a prince. The other boy with the funny haircut who doesn't look fit to wield so much as a dagger? Tis I. I most painfully admit.
But since Alexander is away on a hunting trip, and my father thought I could use the practice, I was assigned the role of welcoming all the new citizens of Qustelan. How am I doing so far?
