Oliver stood at the face of Kara's front door to her loft. The lights to the entire hallway were dim, and the audio was rather quiet. The only thing he could hear from the far of both ends was the humming of the air conditioners. He decided to come by after work to set things right with Kara because Thea was right. He shouldn't have to lose his best friend over something stupid, especially when she harbors good reason.

For as long as he's known Kara, he had associated her with a good heart. She'd sing random sentences rather than be constantly confined by the tone that is speaking, applaud herself when good things came her way, and performed little happy dances whenever she ate potstickers. Much like Barry, she was sunshine and rainbows.

He liked sunshine and rainbows.

And Oliver? He was thunder and lightning.

"Just a minute!" Kara shouts in response to Oliver's knocks on her door. A little over a minute passes, and the door opens. "Oliver," she greets with surprise as she stood between the crack of the door, finger combing her hair. "W-what are you doing here?"

"I was hoping we could talk." Oliver answers. He starts to notice Kara's rattling breath and her eyes peering back and forth from him to inside. Then his eyes met the edge of Kara's shoulder, granting him visibility of her pink bra strap that was ready to fall off.

Wait, is she wit-

"Babe, you alright?" A man calls out from inside followed by Kara's nervous laughter. The voice belonged to the one and only... Winn fucking Schott.

"Y-yeah! It's just Oliver. I'll be back." Kara fits her body through the crack to avoid opening the door even more. When she closes the door behind her, her body somehow clashes with Oliver. His inevitable bulge slightly presses against her pelvis and her arms lightly brushes against his. Chills coarse through Oliver's body, sending him into instant panic mode. He's never been this close to Kara unless they were hugging.

Kara eyes dart upward to face Oliver, framing them both into a long stare accompanied by heavy breaths. The sensation Oliver felt was different... unlike anything he's ever felt before.

He starts to wonder why Kara just stood there. Is she feeling how I feel? No. She's with Winn, and I probably just interrupted them from messing around. But why? Why is she just standing there?

Before he knew it, a dash of repulse and guilt had washed over the depths of his heart and temple. Barry had somehow found a way into his mind the way Kara had done whenever he was locked into an intimate moment with Barry.

Barry. The guy Kara thinks is his boyfriend.

Oliver quickly breaks the stare and takes a step backwards. "I'm assuming this isn't the time to talk, isn't it?"

"You must be wondering why I look like this, aren't you?" Kara responds to his question with her own with her stare kept in position.

Oliver sets his eyes on one of the hallway's miniature lamps that hung off the wall. The light bulb was nearly burnt out, approaching it's near fate. "It's none of my business what you do with him, is it?"

"Unless you want it to be." Kara says quietly as if she doesn't want anyone to hear the words that escaped her oh so beautiful mouth.

"What are you talking about, Kara?"

Kara opens her mouth to say something but is interrupted by Winn opening the door from behind. "You okay?" He asks with a taste of douche.

Kara plasters a smile across her face. "Yep," she answers as she begins to finger comb her hair again. "I told you. Ollie's here."
