"What's your biggest dream?" Bea asks, carving a flirtatious smile. With her elbow sitting on the tip of the chair's spine, she rests her head on her palm, tangling her fingers into her locks of hair. She remains her gaze at Barry while waiting for his answer.
"That's easy." Barry gulps. "Achieving the impossible."
"That answer sounds like there's hundreds of implications that apply to it." Bea laughs. "But something tells me there's only one that really matters to you."
The polite smile that was drawn on Barry's face falls. "Yeah," he says breathily. "There is one thing. How'd you know?"
"It's what everybody wants." Bea's tone conducted mystery, which CSI's were born to discover. Mysteries are what drives them and sure enough, Barry was being driven. "Whatever the dream is, they want to follow it. They're never really whole until they complete it."
"Do you have a dream?" Barry questions, burying his eyebrows.
"I do." Bea lowers her eyes. "And I'm sure that if I chase it- follow it- it'll become my reality." Bea returns her eyes to Barry, biting her lip into a small smile.

"Let's get you another pink lemonade!" Felicity happily lays an arm over Laurel's shoulder. She shuffles her fiancé through the terrace and into the building, soon disappearing into the party's crowd.
"I'll just, uh," Thea clicks her tongue. Without speaking another word, she grabs her bottle of beer and points her finger inside. Receiving Oliver and Barry's eyes on her finger with nods, she proceeds to walk inside to follow Felicity and Laurel, leaving the two of them alone.
After taking a swing at his bourbon, Oliver sets his glass down and hangs his hands off of the railing beside it. He clears his throat with his eyes set on the night sky filled with stars. "Clearly they want us to be left alone."
Barry nods silently. "Yeah."
Oliver transitions his eyes from the stars to Barry's eyes. Somehow, Barry's eyes had that same sparkle the stars had possessed- possibly even brighter. He loved Barry's eyes almost as much as he loved Barry's lips.
Barry's lips. They were frowning.
"Is everything okay?" Oliver questions with care. This was the first time tonight he was alone with Barry, which meant that he had a chance to finally ask why Barry's behavior was rather... off. It was safe to say that he was worried about him. "I mean, I know you that you pushed me to come here but it doesn't necessarily mean you're enjoying it-"
"No, no, no. That's not it." Barry says, preventing Oliver from further theorizing as to why he was keeping a sort of distance from him. Hatred pools into the chamber of his heart after failing to keep Oliver from noticing. He didn't want to ruin Oliver's special night... or any night for that matter, but he will soon enough.
"So there's an it?" Oliver directs his body position towards Barry. His eyebrows were raised and his eyes... his eyes were filled with innocence.
If Barry was a fool, he'd say that look was of love.
Barry draws out a distant laugh. "You're so smart."
"Not as smart as you." Oliver grins.
The comment stings Barry, rubbing him off the wrong way. He places his hands on Oliver's cheeks, holding his face gently, with his fingertips brushing Oliver's hair. "Don't say that. Don't ever say that, Oliver." Oliver's look was a merge of shock and confusion. "Don't ever diminish yourself to praise me." Stroking his thumbs against Oliver's skin softly, he lands his forehead onto Oliver's, bringing him into a forehead touch. His voice fell into the coat of a whisper. "You're just- you're good. You're so- just don't, okay? Please. Just don't."
