It was the first time in days that I went outside but, i was the only one who actually went in the sunlight. Jade and Simon stayed within five feet of the entrance like they were attached to the building in the woods. For some reason, I felt like mom. The way we both connected with nature and what she taught me about nature. "You can find help if you know how to look for it." I whispered mainly to myself
"Hay Rosa! We have to get inside. Come on" "can we stay out a little longer? It feels like forever since I let the sun touch my skin!" I said with a hopeful gleam in my eyes Jade sighed, "ok, five more minuets" she said keeping an eye on the setting sun
I walked a little further and suddenly stopped. I felt a pull towards the area ahead of me. But then I felt a hand on my shoulder, turning my head I saw it was Simon "lets get inside..." I turned and we walked together to the house, i looked down and saw that out hands were only inches apart.
At the same moment, we both closed the space between our hands and we were holding hands for a moment but I immediately pulled away. "Your so cold," (let that line sink in, does it look familier?) "im fine Rose, let's go" he said guiding me inside.
Simon's pov
It was an hour before midnight, i had to feed. I forgot what it was like being around Rosalina, one of the only humans i know. "Simon, are you ready to go?" I heard Japanese say. I was outside sitting in my parents garden, waiting. I haven't fed in three days, and I know starving myself to death (pun intended) is not going to help. "Honey, she will come back when she is ready-" i was furious, my eyes turned an ugly red color "Mom! Don't you get it? I just can't wait for Rosa to come back.... I have to do something" "Appletart... it's just your, uh, your... hunger? Talkin'. We will get our ángulo back"
Something was wrong, I didn't respond to what mom said even though I wanted to. All I could focus on was the sweet, sweet sound of her blood the intensity i was starring made my mom feel obligated to cover her neck "im sorry mom, i know i haven't fed and brushed my fangs like you told me yesterday. I'm just upset, and you know i dont eat when I'm upset"
"Yes, I remember you don't eat when your worried, i vaguely remember you called it 'going against your hunger' why was that?" "I don't know, I just don't know..." mom and I sat down on a bench. "Maybe she left because she never knew about Japanese, or she just couldn't stand the fact that I never told her..."
