The day of my flight.
I'll be leaving today.
I woke to the sunrise, for the last time here in Amsterdam, watching the birds flap across the yard and looking up to Brandon's window, empty. In an hour, I'll be going to the airport. I have an hour left to see Brandon , or it's probable that I won't see him again.
For once, I cursed myself for not keeping a phone. I don't even have a phone number to give him. And I can't get his because his parents won't let me through to him.
I wanted to go over to ask to see Brandon again, to tell him how much I love him, how much he's inspired me, but I doubt anything's changed. There's so much I want to thank him for, and if I can't get it through to his ears, I'll get it through to his eyes.
Grabbing my sketchbook, I ripped out one last page and began writing.
