Chapter 3

"Sisters by blood are usually opposites while sisters by soul on the other hand, share one mind."

The first thing Spera noticed when she opened her eyes was that she wasn't in her own room. Everything was white. The ceiling, the walls, the bedsheets, heck, even her clothes were white.

She was in a hospital.

The next thing she noticed was her best friend's sleeping figure on a chair at the side of the bed that she was currently in.

She sat up slowly, carefully minding the IV. "Kana?" She called out.

Hearing her name, Kana stirred and opened her green eyes. She jumped to Spera's side when she saw that she was awake.

"You're finally awake! You had me worried, you bitch." Kana said jokingly but the relief was clear in her eyes.

"What happened?" Spera asked groggily, pressing her fingers to her temples.

"You passed out. You were out for 5 hours... The doctors said that you're probably constantly tired... Why didn't you tell me about this?" Kana reprimanded her.

"I thought I was just stressed out, nothing serious."

"Well, don't push yourself too hard. The said that you'll be released an hour after you wake up. Get some rest, okay?"

"Yes, mother." Spera rolled her eyes before drifting to sleep.

Kana sighed as she watched Spera sleep from the door. They were finally at their unit but she still couldn't help but feel uneasy.

Why?

She knew exactly what was happening.

Spera had now come of age.

She was only a little girl when she was given this mission. To protect the vessel but growing up with said 'vessel', she couldn't help but become close to Spera especially with the positive ryukh radiating around her. Still, she couldn't help but feel like she was betraying Spera.

In her world, a massive amount of ryukh (negative/positive) shows great power. Ryukh is energy. It is her life force.

Kana gently shut the door as quiet as possible as to not wake Spera up.

She went outside to look at the moon.

I wonder how much time we have left together?

"Hello Ignis." A feminine voice snaps Kana out of her thoughts. She saw a woman perched on the branch of the tree.

"What are you doing here, Alisa?" Kana asked seethingly.

Alisa smiled a sinister smile before transforming into a sleek black raven, gliding down from the tree, only to transform again into a human. Wavy, onyx hair with bangs framing her face, green cat eyes exactly like Kana's and a eerie smile on her face.

"I've come here to inform you, my darling sister. I'm sorry if my hair is not at its best, there was a storm on my flight here." Alisa said, sarcastically saying the word darling with a mischivieous grin on her face. Yes, sisters but complete polar opposites.

"We cannot hide the truth from her no longer. If you do not tell her they will have your head!" Alisa said with a smile, as if the words amused her.

"You little bitch!" Kana almost screamed. When she calls Spera that it was always meant as a joke but when directed at Alisa, there are no traces of humor in her voice.

"I can't tell her. Not now." Kana shook her head furiously.

"Just grow a vagina because they're stronger than balls and they can take a beating and tell her that she's a witch before she finds out by herself."
