ichihoshi told me he loves me.

but, was love meant to cage someone?
to rob them of their own freedom?

for months now, i have been staying with him - holed up in his abode away from everyone else; including those i loved. he said he loves me that's why he did it.

"don't worry, i'm here for you. you don't have to rely on anyone but me."

i'm happy to be with him; but either way, it feels that i had no say in it.

for months now, i've been a prisoner of his love.

ichihoshi told me he loves me.

but, if you love someone then you'd be happy with their happiness too, won't you?

he asked me about a certain boy: froy.
the familiar name itself brought a smitten smile to my bruised lips. froy was a friend of his. he visited me in this hell hole to keep me company. he's kinder than ichihoshi has ever been. and i felt warmth brought in this cold house whenever he visits.

"he's nice. i like him." i said, trying to dismiss the smile that was still on my face.

dead silence hung in the air.

he didn't respond. his head fell, causing a shadow to cast over his eyes, unabling me to see his expression - 'til a smile crept onto his lips. slowly, slowly. eerily, eerily.

his head lifted at last, his blue eyes bored into mine, glimmering with such strange glint in it. his hands lifted to reach for me. i shut my eyes, hoping for the worst - thinking he'd hit me.

but no pain was inflicted. instead, his soft hands caressed my cheeks so tenderly.

"[y/n], i love you."

he spoke oh so softly, so lovingly. i looked up at him. i realized the same smile still played at his lips.

ichihoshi. . . he told me he loves me.

his fingers stroke my cheeks so softly, so tenderly. it made its way down to my neck, his tender hands wrapping on it, pushing down on it - and i begged for oxygen.
