The sound of the door opening alerted [y/n] who was peacefully reading a book as she sat on their humble abode's sofa. She averted her attention to the door, only to see her beloved, Gouenji Shuuya.

"Ah, Shuuya. . . Welcome home." softly, she greeted. The flame striker acknowledged her with a soft smile.

She—although in-denial and is unaware of it—was expectant of the usual kisses her beloved would give to her whenever he'd come home; so when Gouenji hurried upstairs instead of coming over to her, disappointment seeped through her features, forming a pout. She heaved a sigh, then dejectedly, went back to reading.

She didn't mind the sound of the shower running, trying her best to take her mind off of what her beloved did, and the childish feeling lingering in her chest.

Not long, the shower stopped and the door opened, revealing Gouenji topless, ruffling his wet hair with his towel. Slightly surprised, she looked over at him, the sight causing her cheeks to heat up.

Gouenji noticed this, then slowly walked over to her, a smile marring his face. He was yearning to be in her arms and he can't wait any longer. Her eyes widened at this and abruptly turned her head away from him, faking a pout on her lips.

Once he has come closer, he sat closely to the pouting [h/c]nette, pulling her to his arms. "[y/n]," he cooed, his breath teasingly fanning the side of her face (as you are turned away from him, remember). She just hummed in response, too shy to even utter a word to him.

Chuckling, he held her chin, turning it to look eye-to-eye with him. "Don't shy away, love." he smiled, "You're so cute."

[y/n]'s reddened face turned even redder at Gouenji's remark. She yelped softly, then shrunk herself to hide on Gouenji's chest. "Sh-Shuuya!" she whisper-yelled, hitting the said male's chest softly.

Gouenji just laughed, caressing his lover's back as to comfort her. The vibrations of his laughter shook the embarrassed lass, making goosebumps crawl on her skin, further making her ashamed. But, to be honest, it brought her comfort too.

"Mou!" she whined, puffing her reddened cheeks and looking up at her beloved flame striker's face. His eyes looked down at her [e/c] ones, staring down at it. He noticed that it was flashing a light of yearning in it—as if she was hoping for something. His eyes then trailed down to her pouted lips—and that's when it hit him.

Why his beloved, [y/n], was acting so sulky and extra shy towards him.

Gouenji however, did not take action just yet. [y/n] puffed her cheeks, eliciting a small 'hmph!' that her voice unintentionally made high-pitched. Oh, it ate away at Gouenji; his lover's just so cute.

Smiling down at her whilst her shyness decided to get back again, seeing as she tore her stare from him, Gouenji decided to fulfill his beloved's desire.

He held her chin before she could even turn away—which took her by surprise—then finally, leaned down to capture her lips in a sweet kiss. Their lips melted in each other, the blissful sensation sending electricity through their nerves, it felt as if butterflies were fluttering in their stomach. Frankly, they would never get tired of this.

Once they broke away, a satisfied smile surfaced on [y/n]'s face, Gouenji couldn't help but chuckle at it. It made the lass feel embarrassed, but she didn't bother to cover it up; it was with Gouenji anyway. She just loved this man so much; heck, she can't ever get enough of him. So she laughed with him. They laughed at each other's silliness, like innocent children's laughter on life's simple things.

"Happy now?"

"Yes. Welcome home, Shuuya."
