The next morning Tui and I decide to have breakfast with the family. Dad is pleasantly surprised and Mum is grinning from ear to ear. Jay-Jay looks like this is what he's always wanted. We're all sitting at the breakfast bar while Mum potters around the kitchen

"Have you guys made any friends yet?" Dad asks while still looking at his newspaper

"I did" I say as I fill my mouth up with more pancakes "Her name is O" Mum hits me with a tea towel

"Not with your mouthful" She smirks at me and I grin back

"I made a friend in my English class" Jay-Jay chimes in "His name is Paul. He was the first person to speak to me. He's really nice"

"How nice?" Dad asks looking over the top of his newspaper at him

"Not that nice. Just....nice, like we can be real friends"

"That's great honey and baby girl, how about you?" Tui looks up from her plate and shrugs

"I've talked to a couple of people. They seem okay I guess. I just haven't clicked with anyone yet"

"Unlike O" I chuckle to myself as Tui gives me the evil eyes

"What about O?" Now Dad abandons his paper looking interested

"Nothing" Tui tries to defuse the interrogation "Nothing about O"

Mum has now abandoned what she was doing looking at Tui. Unfortunately for Tui, her cheeks are crimson red and everyone can see it

"I thought O was your friend Waima?" Dad asks curiously

"Oh she is. She walked me part way to my next class but split off just as Tui got to me. The moment Tui spotted her, you'd think she was looking at the second coming"

"Shut up" Tui punches my shoulder "It wasnt like that"

"It was so. Your mouth was open so wide I thought you dislocated your jaw"

"I hate you" Tui says but I know she doesn't mean it, not with the smile on her face "And what about you?"

"What about me?"

"That red haired girl" Dammit

"Red haired girl?" Mum looks at me intrigued

"I-it's nothing"

"It must be something for you to blush like that" Dad says smirking Dammit

"I just noticed her and her friends"

"FRIENDS?!" Mum shouts "How many girls do you like?"

"I....just....um...."

"Oh my god" Tui giggles "You like all 3!"

"Do not"

"3?" Dad now invested in the conversation "My daughter the stud" He chuckles

"It's not like that"

"It was so" Tui using my own words against me "There was more drool on your shoes then in your mouth" Now it's my turn to punch her in the shoulder

"Well as your father, I think I need to meet all of these girls before anything happens" I internally groan knowing that won't end well for any girl. The last time I had a girlfriend, Mum and Dad interrogated her so much they scared her off

"And as your mother, it's in their best interest to impress me" I groan again

"All we need to do now is find a cute guy for Jay-Jay" Tui smiles
