POV YOU

The days to come I visited practically everything there was to visit. I went to the Changgyeonggung royal palace and booked the guided tour of the secret garden in English, where I could feel the tranquility reign over the place and Melany had to struggle to take me home from there. I spent the second day at the Gyeongbokgung Royal Palace then at the Deoksugung Palace and we also took a look at the nearby market and view of the panorama from the top of the Seoul Tower to round off the day.

Melany looked like a happy child as she guided me through the crowded streets and gesticulated cheerfully explaining to me from time to time some of their traditions and letting me know interesting details of Korean history.

A week had already flown by and I hadn't seen BTS anymore.

Unfortunately, after the karaoke night, videos were released showing Jungkook hitting the guy who was bothering me and this had apparently become a national scandal. All the newspapers talked about it, all the magazines wrote articles and formulated hypotheses about what could have happened, but no trace of the boys. Even Melany could no longer go to them because BigHit decided to keep the boys in seizure and this meant that they only came out for concerts. No photo sessions, no interviews, or even phone access, so they couldn't even afford phone calls.

Of course I was not happy with the situation, primarily because I felt that all the fault was mine. If I hadn't been there that evening, all this would've never happened, but now things went like this and I could do nothing but accept them. It was even more difficult for Mel since she couldn't communicate with Namjoon at all, but she seemed cheerful anyways and kept telling me that all this ruckus would inevitably subside.

We returned to Melany's house at the end of the eighth day, in which we went to see the World Cup Stadium, the fish market in Noryangjin, the island Seonyudo and then the walk along the Hangang river completely exhausted us.

As soon as we returned home we threw ourselves on the sofa, destroyed.

- My feet are begging for mercy. - she complained as she put her feet up on the table.

- Me too, but we've seen so many beautiful things... -

- And I also know how to end the day. - she said, leaping to her feet. Where does she get all the energy from?

- To end it? But I thought we had already finished it! - I complained like a child.

She glared at me for a few seconds and then headed for the kitchen to grab a bundle of coffee and show it to me by waving it in front of me with the funniest smile I've ever seen.

- Didn't you miss drinking coffee with me? - she asked disappearing into the kitchen again.

I immediately followed her like a little dog, almost with tears in my eyes from emotion. She took a bowl of ice cream from the freezer and then placed two cups on the table for the coffee.

- So, who makes you coffee now? - she asked taking a spoonful of ice cream already.

The usual Melany.

- Unfortunately nobody, I'm buying it at the bar under our house. - I say while sipping the hot liquid while she looked at me with such sweetness in her eyes.

I got up from my chair and tied her in a big hug. I didn't even know how to express the sadness I felt without her, it was as if something was constantly missing in my life and only she had that ability to give me strength, encourage me and support me but now, I could finally embrace her whenever I felt like it.

At least for these weeks. I missed my best friend so much, indeed too much.

- You idiot, you'll make me cry if you hold me for so long. - she told me with a tone that wanted to be harsh but that came out more like a weak whisper.
