"daniel!"

i jumped in his arms and held him so tight. i didn't want to let him go.

"but- i thought- you're supposed to be recording right now!"

"nope, we actually don't start recording until january," he said against my neck. he pulled away slightly, still leaving his arms wrapped around me.

"when did you get here?" i asked him.

"uh, well my flight landed around four thirty and i got here like, fifteen minutes before your game was over. i was sitting with marshall."

"wait a minute, you guys knew!" i turned and looked at aryn, sage and kate, seeing aryn was recording us. "yeah, i can't believe you didn't get it, i totally thought i ruined the surprise," sage said.

my eyes suddenly made contact with braylen's, totally forgetting he was even there.

"oh! braylen, this is my boyfriend daniel. and daniel, this is my friend braylen! he just moved here from georgia!" i introduced them.

"and she went on a date with him wednesd-" sage said, which then kate slapped a hand over her mouth preventing her from saying anything else.

"what?" daniel looked at me.

"a date?" braylen looked at me confused.

"no, i was just showing him around because he literally just moved here!" i explained.

"yeah, and i'm gay!"

i turned and looked at braylen.

"you are?" i asked.

"wait really?" kate asked.

"damn it!" aryn said. marshall gave her a weird look, "i'm only joking."

"yeah, plus i already knew about mercy and daniel, she has like a million posts about daniel on her instagram," braylen explained. i could tell daniel relaxed a little more.

"so...should we go eat somewhere?" marshall suggested.

"okay, sounds fun! where to?" i asked.

"whataburger!" braylen suggested with a little too much enthusiasm. i laughed at him.
