"So?"
Cleo asked me as soon as we sat in our usual table. The cafeteria is miraculously quiet today. Kokonte lang ang mag estyudanteng pumapasok, ang iba naman ay bibili lang at aalis din.
"So? What?" Balik kong tanong.
"Magkwento ka na..." Pearl pleaded.
Mahina akong tumawa at binuksan ang potato chips na binili ko.
"Well..." Simula ko at kinwento kung saan ako dinala ni Juan ng itakas nya ako sa brunch namin nila Cleo. They keep on asking kung ano na ba ang meron sa amin ni Juan, pero kahit ako ay di ko rin naman alam. Cleo and Pearl shrieked when I told them about the happenings in our home thsi morning. I told them about Papa's invitation kay Juan. They keep on saying good things sa kanya at heto naman ako tinatago ang kilig ko. And lastly I told them about Juan formally asking me out this Sunday.
"Shet! Girl! Haba ng hair!"
"Ikaw na talaga, Mands! GdL na yan oy!"
Napa-iling naman ako. Sinimulan na naming kumain, habang nagkukwentuhan. Cleo started picking on Pearl when I asked her about their real score.
Tawang-tawa ako sa kanilang dalawa nang biglang may mga pumasok na students. Dalawa sila, all beautiful. The other girl is tall and curvy. Ang isa naman ay petite at curvy din, she is smiling making her dimples came out in both of her cheeks. Nag-uusap sila at mukhang iyong petite ang parati lang nagsasalita. They ordered foods and started walking palapit sa amin.
I was about to divert my attention when the petite one, mentioned a name.
"– so you're friends with the GdL? Pati si Juan?"
Cleo and Pearl who's still busy nagging at each other didn't heard the girl's words.
"Oo. Mas close nga lang ako kay..." Hindi ko na narinig ang sinabi nung matangkad dahil nakalayo na sila sa amin. I keep on eyeing them, but it seems like they are oblivious with my stares.
In that instant, I felt a small pinch of pain.
