*Zosime's POV*

I called and called again but there was no answer... I set my phone down and wiped the tears from my cheeks. I walked out of my room and knocked on LaVar and Tina's door. "Come in!" LaVar called. I opened the door and they were both laying in bed watching TV. It was about 11PM at night. "Sorry it's kind of late but can I ask you something?" I asked them.
"What's up sweetie?" Tina sat up a little bit in the bed, looking at me concerned.
"You alright?" LaVar asked.
"Well I've been calling my mom and my dad and the first week or two they answered and we talked but I haven't been able to anymore.... do you know why?" I asked. They looked at each other and both kind of shrugged. "I don't hun. But tomorrow morning I'll call the head of this and see what's going on okay?" Tina smiled.
"We will figure it out. Get some sleep, school tomorrow," LaVar told me.
"Thank you guys," I smiled, "Goodnight."
"Night," LaVar said.
"Goodnight," Tina smiled.

The next morning I got ready for school and went downstairs. We did our normal routine and ate breakfast then Gelo drove us to school today. The day went on as usual. Nothing exciting or anything really happened. At the end of the day we got back home. LaVar and Tina were standing by the kitchen table. "Come sit kids," Tina told us. We all looked a bit confused but we all took a seat at the table. Then LaVar and Tina sat down. "We have some news," LaVar started, "Last night Zosime asked us about her parents. Why she couldn't get ahold of them. We called the head of the program and they informed us that there had been a really bad tsunami there. Your parents house had been apart of it and I'm really sorry Zosime.... your parents were found deceased in their home." My mouth opened and my heart dropped to my stomach. I couldn't breath. I couldn't move. I just stared at them blankly. "So what now??" Melo asked.
"She will go for the funeral in Greece and we can come with if she wants, then when she turns 18 it is her choice to get a US citizenship certificate or to move back to Greece," LaVar explained. I didn't really listen though. I heard parts of it. Tears filled my eyes and I just stared at the wall. "Come here," Tina stood up and opened her arms. That's when it happened. I started crying. I stood up and hugged Tina as tight as my arms could. She held me close. I cried into her chest hard. "It's okay," she whispered, rubbing my back, "We are here.. whatever you want to do we are here for you." All I could do was cry though. My parents are gone... They are dead. I didn't even get to say goodbye. I didn't get to see them.... I could've been there... I could've died...
