Back To School

*Zosime's POV*

I went back to school the following Monday and I dreaded it a little. I was staying on pace with the work and stuff but I wasn't sure how everyone would be. If they knew or if they had started rumors or what was going to happen. I went up to my locker and put my stuff in. I got my books for first and second hour. Rocco came up and shoved me a bit out of the way. "Leave me alone!" I shoved him back and shut my locker door, "Today is not the day!" I scoffed.
"Damn shawty came back with some spunk huh?!" he laughed, "But don't forget. Just cause I'm a guy and cant hit you doesn't mean Ashley cant." He stood close to me, making me look up at him. I rolled my eyes at him and walked away to meet Melo for our first class.

At the end of the day Rocco didn't show up this time at his locker, it was Ashley. "Soo I heard you giving Rocco a hard time," she looked at me.
"Oh give it up. I've had a rough two weeks just leave me the hell alone!" I raised my voice at her.
"He was right, you found your voice," she laughed, "But now it's time to lose it again. Lose that attitude before I punch you in your throat and you lose your damn voice." I rolled my eyes at her and got my bag out and shut my locker. I shoved past her and started to walk away. She grabbed my wrist and yanked me back around to face her. Before I could even look at her, her fist met my throat and I fell down on my butt, coughing. Everyone turned to looked and everyone was "ou'ing" I looked up at her and held my throat. She lifted me back up and her other fist hit my jaw. I've never been in a fight, violence wasn't really a thing in Greece. People at school didn't get into fights. I swung at her and hit something. I couldn't really see though. It was a little blurry. All I know is she let go of me and I stumbled back again. "What's going on up here?!" I heard the principal yell.
"Ashley hit Zosime," I heard a female say.
"Snitch!" Ashley spat.
"Both of you c'mon!" the principal told me. Melanie came running over and helped me stand straight. "Are you okay??" she asked. I nodded a bit and shrugged. I tried my best not to cry because I didn't want to around everyone. She helped me to the office and we passed Melo and Gelo at Melo's locker waiting for me. "Woah, woah what's going on?!" Gelo asked the principal.
"Zosime and Ashley got into a fight," he told him.
"What?!" Melo asked, "Who started it sime?!"
"Ashley," I coughed, my voice was raspy.
"If you knew what I did about Melo you'd hit me first," she smirked cockily at me as we walked. I looked at Melo confused and he just shrugged his shoulders. "Enough!" the principal called. We got the office and we both explained what happened but her story was that I was tempting her. I had a few people that witnessed it disagree with her. In the end we both got written up and they called each of our parents, in my case Tina and LaVar.
