Chapter 3

"I'm in love with you, Chani" - Youngkyun said while looking down, being embarrassed to look into Chani's eyes

"W-what?" - Chani was surprised

"I love you, not as a friend, but something more than a friend. You know? In a romantic way.." Youngkyun was still looking down

It was a dead silence until someone's cough broke the silence. It was Seokwoo, who was sitting on one of the beds that were in the nurse's office.

"Am I interrupting something?" Seokwoo said, as he heard what was going on

"Y-" Youngkyun was about to answer when Chani stopped him and said "No", not long after that he left the room.

"Shit" Youngkyun was regretting confessing to Chani

"Do you think you can make him happy?" Seokwoo asked Youngkyun

"I do" Youngkyun stopped and then mumbled "At least I won't hurt him as you"

"What?" Seokwoo clearly heard what he said

"Ah? Nothing. Just nonsense, don't mind me" Youngkyun realized what he said and quickly left

Seokwoo was confused by Youngkyun's words. What did he mean by that?

And on the other side, Chani wandered around still being confused by what happened. He got his bag from his classroom and left in hurry saying to his teachers that he wasn't feeling well.

He didn't know where he was going, he was just going where his feet brought him. And somehow he ended in the park sitting on the bench.

"You ran off from school just to come here?" Someone's voice interrupted Chani's thoughts

"I didn't ran off" Chani groaned

"Okay then, if you say so" it was Seokwoo

Seokwoo sat next to Chani and stayed quiet. It's not that he didn't have questions, it's just that he didn't knew if it was comfortable for Chani to speak.

"Why are you here?" This time, Chani broke the silence

"I was just walking around and then I saw you so I thought I should greet you."

"Oh, is that so?"

"Mhm" Seokwoo hummed

After some time, Seokwoo spoke again.

"Chani."

"Yes?"

"Am I hurting you in some way?"

"What?" Chani gulped, deep inside he wanted to say Yes, you're hurting me a lot but he could not.

"Did I hurt you somehow?"

"Why are you asking?"

"Just because, and... You're cold towards me..." Seokwoo said

It's because of your new girl, it's because of her. When I knew that you were single I had hope but when you found a girlfriend I lost all the hope I had, these were the words Chani wanted to say but he just couldn't bring himself to say them.

"There's not a some special reason so don't worry"

"Is it because of my girlfriend?" Seowkoo was curious what was Chani about to say

"No" Chani answered after some time

Seokwoo didn't know why was he a little disappointed from Chani's answer.

"Okay then" Seokwoo left a sigh

"Hey, love, what are you doing here?" A girl's voice was heard

Both Chani and Seokwoo turned back to see who was that.

It was Seokwoo's girlfriend.
