"As your best friend and new brother, I will see if we can learn if you two have superpowers. I've been trying to see if Y/n has powers but we haven't been doing anything that could boost them if she does. So having you around as extra energy could be a possible help for your superhero abilities! You could just be the boost in superpowers and super energy that you two need!"
"Gee. Nice speech." I say, standing beside confused adult Billy as my wings are still out but not necessarily wide. They're just bunched and relaxed together. Maya sits up Freddy which he appreciates her company.
"Okay! Let's do this then!" Billy claps his hands.
Thanks to the help of Freddy. He snuck out some things I need to cover my face. It took about an hour to completely makeover my face to make it unrecognizable. Put my hair all bunched together in a flat cap. Throw a beanie over that then get one of those gang bandanas around the mouth and nose, small hearts and sparkles around my eyes. He holds his phone in front of me and Billy who seem prepared for something big.
"How do we do this?"
"Yeah. Freddy? I don't remember the Justice League being trained by a child."
"HEY!" He laughs. Maya snickers.
"Just, um...like, Superman it. Like Y/n did. Pew!" Freddy says and points to the sky.
Billy looks to me, then Freddy. Then me, then Freddy.
"...Pew..."
I facepalm as he also points to the sky.
"Oh, My God. Billy! Jump!"
I jump up high, my wings flapping in the air. "Believe you can fly."
"I don't have wings! I can't fly like you do!" He says offendedly, staring up at me.
"Which is why you have to Superman it and not Y/n it! The flight is a possible power! For me, flight is the wingspan of the feathers of the black crow wings I have!"
"Aren't they angel wings?" He scoffs.
"I dunno man." I drop back down to the ground.
"Y/n's right, dude! Jump up, believe you can fly! Like...try to believe you can really really jump super high and hover above the ground with flight, okay? I read this deep-dive into peer-reviewed studies about superpowers and in six out of then, belief is the key." Freddy tries to give him his advice as Billy listens cautiously.
"Belief. Belief. Belief. Okay." Billy isn't buying it. "Okay. Okay. I believe I can fly. I believe I...I believe I can fly. I believe..."
We both watch as Billy runs onto the car and jumps off.
"Whoa!"
"OOOH!" I gasp. He lands roughly on the ground, groaning in pain. He coughs, as Freddy stares shocked.
"...Did you believe?"
I step beside Freddy as Billy stands up, then looks at him like saying that was a stupid question. "yEaH!"
"You wanna try invisibility?" I ask.
Billy hesitates, he looks SOOOOO confused. "How do I do...Forget it. You know, okay. Okay, okay, okay."
He puts his hands up in surrender as Freddy holds his phone up.
Billy squints his eyes shut and puffs up his cheeks.
"Oh My God! It worked!" Freddy yells.
But he's still there...
Freddy looks toward me, quickly winks and turns back to him. A smirk comes across my lips, holding in laughter. Wow, he's evil. Maya snickers, chuckling as a dog.
