(POV) IT chapter two REDDIE ending 💖

prologue

(a/n) helluuu. so if this is you're first time reading this, know that this is the old version of my alternative ending. i'm working on rewriting this with a better writing style and also a few differences plot wise. i've already published a few chapters, so if you end up liking this i would appreciate it if you read the other and in my opinon better version as well :)) but for now, enjoy <3

Eddie POV

There he is. Floating in the air looking just like Bev when we found her 27 years ago. In front of Pennywises open mouth, about to die...just like earlier.

Earlier I just stood there and watched Bill trying to get that...thing off his head. Bill was shouting, telling me to take the knife and kill it, but what did I do?

I just stood there, completely paralized and I did absolutely nothing to save him.
If it weren't for Ben, he'd probably be dead by now.

But this time I wouldn't let him die.

„This thing kills monsters, if you believe it does."
Those words start echoing in my head. I start mumbeling them, raising my voice everytime I repeat them. I grip the spear so tightly, I feel my fingers go numb due to my bloodcirculation being cut. I run and shout

„BEEP BEEP MOTHERFUCKER"

and throw the spear as hard as I can right into Pennywises mouth. I can see some weird substance shooting out of IT's mouth. It could be blood but who knows what fluids some monster from wherever has. IT tumbles back and impales itself on the pointy rocks sticking out of the ground.

In that moment he falls to the ground and I start shaking him.
„Richie I think I killed it, I think I killed it for real!"
He slowly openes his eyes and looks at me with a very confused expression on his face.

Richie POV

Okay wait, what the fuck happened? One second I'm yelling something at that damn clown from hell and the
next I'm laying on the floor, with Eddie sitting next to me and shaking me, blabbering something about how he defeated Pennywise.

I don't even have any fucking time to say anything because I can see one of Pennywises spider-like arms shooting right at Eddie.

So much for defeating IT.

I push him away from me and watch how IT's arm misses Eddie by just a few millimeters, maybe four or five.

In that exact moment, I realize how close Eddie just was to certain death,
and I never could have told him what I've been keeping a secret for over 27 years.
