Dress codes and shaming

Slut shaming isn't okay. At all.

The sad fact is that girls do it to each other and guys do it to us too. It's an unhealthy mindset. It's damned if you do have sex damned if you don't. There's this book called the Unslut project and it's PHENOMENAL! Please read it you won't regret it. It's about people's stories about slut shaming and what they learned from it. Anyways.

I think this- no I know this is an important topic. I know y'all came here to glow up but it's not just a physical glow up, it's mental glow up too.

Girls judge and bully other girls who had sex with someone or who didn't. Who developed early and had certain body parts that were/ are very prominent. It's degrading and awful. It's twisted. You should be able to have sex and talk about it to those you trust without fear of being or getting judged. BUT only have sex when you KNOW you're ready. I just want y'all to be safe.

I never had sex, a boyfriend, never kissed or anything. Because I don't want to. But I got bullied for having boobs earlier than other girls. It was awful and I coped in not great ways. It wasn't self harming don't worry. I love myself too much to do that. And I love y'all too much too so I hope y'all don't do that stuff. You don't deserve it.

But anyhoo if you slut shame others stop. Who cares if a girl had sex or chooses not to. It's none of your business so stop wasting your time on it. I just thought this was important because I see this everyday and in tv shows and such. I'm like what?

DRESS CODES. WTH is that about?

My knees and ankles and shoulders shouldn't be distracting any guy. And it's worse because sometimes it's not even guys my age distracted ITS THE TEACHERS! Some nasty arse old man getting distracted from MIDRIFF! What? I just don't get it.

It's practically saying there's something wrong with your body, don't wear this or that, for guys may get distracted. your education isn't as important as is the way you look, and it's wrong. I get not wanting us to show up naked to school. But we don't and won't (goodness hopefully not) show up naked.

You can't wear spaghetti straps, bra can't show, backless? I don't think so. I feel bad for girls who are curvier and have long arse legs. It's like they're targeted and people don't understand and will make comments for the rest of your life, even family. LIKE SHUT UP GRANDMA/ (whoever comments) MY LEGS ARE LONG, AND IM NOT SORRY ABOUT IT. MY SHORTS JUST LOOK SHORT they aren't actually short. And so what if they were, it's my body not yours.

why should I have to explain myself.

My breasts are not bigger but not small, as if it gives me any more or less worth ugh, and I'm not sorry about it. Why do you care? I should be able to wear a shirt without getting remarks. Or insults. Or weird comments. Why do you care? ITS MY BODY NOT YOURS.

I hope one day soon that this won't be an issue. I can go into school and not get dress coded for my naturally long legs, big boobs, for having a stomach, for having boobs and wearing a bra.

(Also I don't have big boobs or long legs but I get dress coded anyway for wearing spaghetti straps on a dang sun dress tf? It was this old lady too and they had to scrutinize me to make sure I PASSED a stupid code so I could go back to class. It's embarrassing, and degrading)

This is an issue I see us fighting back for. And I love it. Keep fighting warriors! We will win! Cause my body isn't something that should be punished for being that- a body. They don't punish guys for much or really at all. They can wear tank tops and get away with it. Girls? Nah. Anyway I'm gonna post another chapter tomorrow
