A Full Stop

A full stop is both an end and a beginning. It's moving on. The possibilities brought about by that single full stop are endless, no one knows what will come next. Even the writer is only graced with the knowledge moments before it is written into existence.

Sometimes, two things want to come next. Maybe even three things; four, five, six, any amount of ideas and opinions and thoughts all rushing to your fingers at once, hoping to be the one you make a reality. It's a challenge to decide which you choose. Are you making the right choice? Does this sentence, this word, this idea, fit perfectly here or in this order.

The truth? No one cares.

No one other than you thinks about it so deeply. No one other than you is tossing and turning over whether what you wrote is good enough. No one other than you is counting how many commas, semi colons or brackets you've used. Your writing is your own. Your full stop is not their beginning, not their end.

Your full stop is your beginning, your end.
