Sunset and sunrise
Alone I gazed up at the skies
Tears in my eyes
As I remembered the day I broke
the ties.
Standing at the door
I told you I need to leave the shore
Outside there was a downpour
We shouldn't be together anymore.
You didn't say a word
But only took a step forward
We both wished it to went unheard
Yet I took a step backward.
Light and darkness
I didn't want to take away
your happiness
That's why I left your tenderness
Only so you didn't have to live in
my sadness.
