Freddie: Whatx the hell happened today??
Amanda: I met your wife
Shit
Yep
How was it?
Weird
Fuck
How did today go apart from that?
Good, thanks. Just seeing you two threw me. I had no idea she'd turn up - she never does. Not ever
I'm sorry I left. She kind of dragged me away
What happened?
Have you asked her?
No, I'm asking you
Ask her. I really can't get in the middle of this anymore
Anymore?

Freddie: Axmanda? You're not in the middle of anything

Amanda didn't know how to reply. She'd allowed herself to develop a twisted friendship with Louisa for exactly the same reason as she had with Freddie: she was desperate for human connections, however unhealthy. Freddie wouldn't understand; she didn't understand herself.
Amanda: Sorry. I didn't mean anything by it. I suppose even though we're friends now, I still have feelings for you. I still want you. And today, seeing you, seeing your wife, just made me realise how messed up this all is. It has to end now
Amanda: I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that. Ignore me. You just looked hot today, that's all I meant to say
Amanda sat looking at her phone wishing she could take back the last two messages. Her heart and head pulling her in opposite directions. She cringed as she read them back to herself, gritting her teeth.
She grabbed her laptop and ordered a curry. Food would distract her.
Within what felt like only twenty minutes the doorbell rang. She hauled herself up and swung open the front door, to see not her regular curry delivery driver but Freddie, still in the tailored suit he'd been wearing at his event.
Amanda stepped back in surprise. Before she had a chance to say anything, Freddie entered, closing the gap between them. The heat from his body transferred to her as his hands grabbed her waist and he pushed her inside. Amanda gasped but was cut off by Freddie placing his mouth over hers.
Her hands went to his face and kissed him back without hesitation as she let him push her all the way into the hallway, kicking the door closed behind him. He pressed her up against the wall, his greedy hands moved under her top and gripped hold of her, as she arched her back away from the wall to meet him. His pushed his knee in between her thighs and then his whole body into her, his lips never breaking away.
She groaned at the feel of him when their mouths finally disconnected. She slowly took the knot of his tie in one hand and pulled it loose with the other. He watched her while she did so. His top button already undone, she flicked open another.
Glancing up at him between freeing buttons, she noticed an unrecognisable expression on his face, causing her to pause. The intent in his body was clear but his eyes seemed to be communicating something different.
Freddie brushed hair out of his eyes and smiled at her, changing his face and encouraging her to continue.
She finished undoing his shirt and let it fall open so she could put her hands on this chest. He closed his eyes as she ran her fingers down his torso.
