As they continued their walk, Jamie unintentionally started humming. It was mainly to herself, but loud enough for Loki to hear.

"Do you normally sing?" he asked, getting her attention.

"Every now and then," she answered.

Loki smiled, used his magic to make a lyre appear, then requested, "Would you care to sing for me?"

(A/N The lyre.)

Jamie giggled as she accepted it and answered, "For you, anything

Jamie giggled as she accepted it and answered, "For you, anything."

They sat on a bench and she started tuning it.

"This song, I actually heard from Midgard and I felt it defined my life," she told him.

"Well, then it must be worth listening to," he said.

She blushed with a smile and strummed the lyre. She nodded then started playing and singing "Extra Ordinary" from Lucy Hale. As she did, she took some glances to the instrument, but most of the time, she couldn't take her eyes off Loki.

"I'm imprisoned, I've been living a lie
Another night of putting on a disguise
I wanna tear it off and step in the light
Don't you, don't you?

So now I'm knocking at your front door
And I'm looking for the right cure
I'm still a little bit unsure
'Cause I know,
Yeah I know

That most people see me as ordinary
But if you look close you'll find I'm very
Interesting and hard to know
You can never tell where this might go
'Cause I'm not your average, average person
I don't know much, but I know for certain
That I'm just a little bit extra, extra
I'm just a little bit extra ordinary"

As she continued, she noticed that Loki couldn't quit staring at her with a genuine smile. Jamie couldn't help but return it.

"I can see it from the spark in your eyes
You believe in all the things you deny
You wanna fly and leave your worries behind
Don't you, don't you?

Well now I'm knocking at your front door
And I'm looking for the right cure
I'm still a little bit unsure
'Cause I know,
Yeah I know

That most people see me as ordinary
But if you look close you'll find I'm very
Interesting and hard to know
You can never tell where this might go
'Cause I'm not your average, average person
I don't know much, but I know for certain
That I'm just a little bit extra, extra
I'm just a little bit extra ordinary"

When she finished, she made the lyre disappear.

"Your voice is enchanting," Loki told her.

"Thank you, your highness," Jamie thanked.

"You may call me Loki," he insisted.

"As you wish, Loki," she answered.

In response, he gently pushed some strands of hair behind her ear then let his knuckles trail down her cheek. She leaned into his touch, letting her hand come to his and her thumb stroked the back of his hand.

"You have intrigued me from the moment I first saw you," Loki told her.

"It is the same for me," Jamie responded.

They then started to lean in until Sif started to yell her nickname out to her.

"J!" she shouted, getting the couples' attention.

She was looking around until she spotted them.

"I'm afraid I have to go," Jamie told him.

"You will return tomorrow night?" Loki requested.

She smiled, kissed his cheek, then answered, "You have my word."

She then ran to Sif as Loki watched after her until they disappeared.

Once back, Jamie made sure everything was back the way things were and worked on chores as her stepfamily walked in the house.

"It's not my fault the maiden showed up again," Sigyn said.

"No. But you have to try to win Prince Loki's affections. And we do not even know if the maiden will come again," Sanem pointed out.

Jamie heard them leave and sighed as she looked at the brightest star.

"Please, Father. Be with me as I go to tomorrow's ball," she prayed.
