I hated it.

Waking up again to the exact same white walls staring back at me. I’d been here months and it was driving me insane. It was the same every day, I’d wake up around 7 and breakfast was slid through the hole in a large metal door, that was almost always locked, the food never changed either. Buttered toast and milk for breakfast, a hand and cheese sandwich with an apple for lunch at 1, and tomato soup with bread, yogurt and a cereal bar for tea at 8. I’d eaten it so much it had lost it’s taste now just like eating a tasteless mush. People would come in at 10am and 6pm every day, dressed in white lab coats accompanied by men with large guns, for so called “therapy.” It never went anywhere though, they’d end up pissing me off I’d lash out then get sedated waking up just in time for my evening meal. I was miserable.

It all started when the Hydra base I’d been kept in was taken down by the Avengers, no matter how many times I tell them that I didn’t work for Hydra they won’t believe me. I mean I did, but I didn’t enjoy it. They trained me to be an assassin and with my powers made “ jobs” easier to complete, every time I didn’t do what they asked I was assaulted, beaten near to death it was just easier to do what they said and after a while I grew numb to it. I’d do what they asked then I was locked up till needed again. I hated every single person there and when I broke out I didn’t hesitate in killing every single one of them, I got carried away and attacked some other girl like me, she had powers and was incredibly strong. But I was stronger. Taking her out, not killing her but hurting her badly, I didn’t mean to how was I supposed to know they were there to help.
Now I’m here, trapped in a all white room no windows and not able to use my abilities due to a collar around my neck. It was chunky and uncomfortable, every time I would try and use my powers it would electrocute me and that hurt like hell. I’d be laying there a shaking mess on the floor tears streaming down my face, I knew they could see me but they never helped. I was completely and utterly alone.

Dragging myself out of the bed I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes taking a look around the familiar surroundings before getting up and stretching. They didn’t let me have much, not since I stabbed that nurse with a pencil. So every morning I’d work out to pass the time and on time the grinding of the metal hatch being opened caught my attention, walking over and picking up the tray seeing the hatch close again. I sat on the floor and began eating the toast cringing at the taste, after one slice I decided I’d had enough drinking the milk and leaving the rest pushing it back towards the door seeing the hatch open and it being dragged back through. There was a sigh from the other side of the door which caught my attention. That was new.

“ You need to eat you know.” A man’s voice said from the other side of the door, I didn’t recognize it and that put me on edge. “ Is it ok if I come in?” The voice asked, you froze. Who was this person? What did they want? My silence dragged another sigh from the stranger. “ Open the door.” He commanded to someone hearing the locks undo on the door made I spring to my feet and ran to the opposite side of the room. The door slid open revealing a tall, very muscular man with blonde hair slightly slicked back, he stepped in with his hands up like we was surrendering, “ Hey hey, I’m not going to hurt you.” He said calmly as the door was closed behind him. No men with guns. Just him. Keeping my wide eyes trained on him I stepped back every time he stepped forward which me frowned at lowering his arms placing one on his chest. “ I’m Steve, or you might know me as Captain America.” I just narrowed my eyes at him and said nothing I don’t know who is he and to be honest I don’t care. He frowned reaching his hand down into one of the pockets of his blue jeans making me stiffen up, Steve must’ve noticed my uneasiness slowing his movement down revealing a key from his pocket.

“ Steve stop! Your insane if you think she won’t attack you.” Another male voice said from the other side of the door banging on it loudly making me jump. Steve get visibly angry at who every it was and didn’t reply just stepping towards me so again I stepped back.
