MJ and I had spoken to each other since we bumped into one another at The Bugle. I thought about her constantly, and honestly missed having someone to talk to. She was a smart woman who knew exactly what to say, and I needed that right now.

I was outside her apartment clinging to the brick as I peeked in through her window. She was sitting in the couch with her laptop being the only light in the room. She appeared focused, typing away.

I fished out my phone and decided to text her.

"Hey are you up?" I asked her.

I watched and listened as her phone dinged. She fished out her phone from her pocket and read the text.

I could tell her focus was broken now. Her demeanor softened at first but then hardened as she began to type furiously.

"Uh-oh she's still mad." I sighed

"Yes I'm up. Come in." She texted.

She knew I was outside. I couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

"Are you coming in or what?" She asked aloud.

I couldn't help but jump. While I was looking at my phone MJ made her way to the window and opened it right up.

"Did I scare you?" She laughed.

"No! Just surprised me is all." I tried as I climbed into the apartment.

"Uh-huh." MJ murmured as she sat back on the couch.

I stood awkwardly in the living room as she stared at me.

"So how have you been?" I asked.

"Good. I see you've had your hands full these past few weeks." MJ stated as she spun her laptop around to show me an article on me.

"Yeah its been a lot." I sighed as I sat beside her and peeled off my mask.

MJ gasped as she saw my face.

"Peter you're covered in bruises!" She exclaimed.

"Well I did have a building fall on me." I laughed.

"A what?!" She exclaimed.

"Its a long story." I sighed as I began to peel off of the rest of my suit.

"I have time." She stated as she took my suit and threw it in the laundry machine.

I watched her pour detergent into the machine. I missed her so much. I wanted to prove to her that I could be Spider-Man and the perfect boyfriend, but it was beginning to seem impossible.

"Stop looking at me like that." She chuckled.

"Like what?" I teased.

"Like that! With your big doe eyes! I know your tricks Parker." She groaned as she handed me an ice pack.

"Ok fine is this better?" I inquired as I put the ice pack over my eyes.

"You know what I mean." She sighed as she sat beside me.

We sat there in silence for a moment like nothing these past few weeks mattered.

"Mary Jane." I tried as I lifted the ice pack.

She turned and looked at me in response.

"I miss you." I whispered.

MJ looked at me with such gentleness.

"I know. I miss you too." She stated.

I put me arm around her as she held the ice pack on my ribs.
