these are just a few of the billion code names girls have for the word "period". I mean we don't want the entire world to know we're on our period, only like our best friend, and maybe our mom. So we gotta have code names so when we talk about it, nobody will suspect a thing.
If I say my Aunt Flo or Cousin Red is visiting, it sounds like normal conversation. and that's the whole freaking point.

One time in 5th grade, my friend and I used Aunt Flo to talk about the video about periods they showed us the day before. The guys on the bus asked us who Aunt Flo was and we were so caught off guard we didn't know what to say xD I think the explanation we used was that it was a girls website that all girls sign up for called Aunt Flo and every month or so you get an email and when you get that email that means Aunt Flo is visiting you.
Eleven year olds are the best
But its important to use a code name that the people around you will understand. Once, I was talking to one of my best friends and I told her "Aunt Flo" is visiting. She was so confused and thought she was a real person xD oops
