No More Secrets

Chapter 6

Marinette gently knocked on the door. 

"Who is it?"

"I-It's me."

The door almost instantly flew open, to reveal Luka. However, as soon as he opened the door, his face turned bright pink.
Marinette was wearing something much different than what she usually wore. She was wearing a baggy black sweater and black leggings.
"Do I look that bad?"

"No!" Luka waved his hands in front of him. "Y-You look amazing."
Marinette giggled. "Come in!"

Marinette walked in and sat on Luka's bed. She began to shyly play with her sleeve, as Luka sat next to her. "So, what's up?" She asked him, the silence growing a bit awkward. 

"Not much," Luka replied.

Another awkward silence. Marinette decided to get up and walk in front of Luka. She placed her hands on her hips, and looked down at him, a smile on her face. "Arbuste!"

"Huh?" Luka looked up at Marinette, an eyebrow raised.

"Arbuste!" Marinette repeated. "The cat!"

"You named the cat... Arbuste?"

Marinette's smile widened. "I just thought of it!"

"Ok, but... Arbuste?"

Marinette pouted. "Do you not like it?"

Luka shook his head. "I-It's not that!" He stood up. "It-It probably needs some getting used to."
Marinette's smile returned, making Luka relax. "Anyways, how is... Arbuste, anyways?"

"He's fine."

"He?"

"Yeah!" Marinette's smile widened. "I checked."

Luka sighed. "Of course you did."

Marinette giggled. "So, do you want to do something?"

Luka looked down at the bluenette. "Like what?"

Marinette smiled. "I'm glad you asked." She grabbed Luka's hand, and dragged him out of his room, taking him to the deck of the houseboat, and jumping onto the concrete sidewalk.

"Where are we going?" He asked her as the two ran past the park. 

"You'll see!"
The two kept on running until they reached the Pont des Arts bridge. Waiting at the center of the bridge, was none other than Andre. He was serving couples their ice cream, seeming a bit more excited himself, than the couple. Luka and Marinette walked up to Andre, and as soon as he saw them, his smile grew wider. 

"Ah! Marinette, what a lovely surprise! Here, have ice cream, and your love will materialize!" He scooped up the ice cream, placing two small spoons on the sides, then handed them the cold treat. 

"Thank you Andre!" Marinette waved at the man as the two walked away. As soon as the two left the bridge, she turned to him. "Here." 
She was holding one of the spoons in her hands, containing a bit of ice cream, waiting for him to eat it. She had placed it the ice cream to the side, making Luka feel a bit suspicious.

Slowly, Luka leaned his head forward, only to see it being pulled back, as he felt soft lips on his own. At first, his eyes were wide open, surprised, but he eventually closed them, melting in the kiss. As soon as the two separated, Luka felt his cheeks burning as Marinette turned a crimson red.
"S-Sorry! I don't know what came over me!" She buried her face in her hands, her ears now a visible pink.

"Don't worry about it." Luka chuckled. He gently grabbed her arms and pulled her hands away from her face. "I kind of saw it coming."

Marinette sighed, her face slowly returning back to its normal colour. Grabbing the ice cream, the two began to eat, while talking about school, and from time to time, talking about Arbuste.

However, their peace came to an end as soon as they heard shrieks of terror. Looking up, Marinette gasped as she saw Chloe.  However, she looked exactly like when Hawk Moth akumatized her into Queen Wasp. She looks down at the streets of Paris, wasps coming down at every angle, stinging every Persian in Paris. Marinette grabbed Luka's had and ran away from the wasps, as she transformed into Aqua Bug. She quickly handed Luka her yo-yo, indicating to use it to breathe, and as soon as he did, she jumped into the river, avoiding the wasps.
She turned to Luka who was looking around in the water. He then pointed behind Ladybug. Turning, she saw a familiar black cat who was swimming towards them, his green eyes slitting as he saw them. 

"M'Lady, why is he with you?"

"Well, I, uh... I saw him running from the wasps, so I helped him?" Ladybug mentally face palmed herself. 

"Why did that sound more like a question than an answer?" Chat asked her, his eyes narrowing.

"Uh... well-"

"Is there something you're not telling me, Ladybug?"

Ladybug shook her head. "No, Chat. But that isn't what's important right now." She turned to face Luka, who seemed to be glaring at the black cat behind her. Ignoring their mental feud, she continued. "We have to find out where the akuma is."

Chat grunted. "Yeah, but how?"

Ladybug looked up at the surface of the water. The wasps seemed to have left, so she decided to take this as a chance to rush to her own house and get the dragon miraculous. "I'll be right back." She told Chat Noir. "I need to do something really quick."
But before she could leave, she felt a hand grab her arm. Turning, she saw Luka gesturing to himself as if asking if he could come with her. 
Ladybug nodded, before wrapping her arm around his waist, and jumped out of the water before Chat had any time to say anything.

Ladybug detransformed into Marinette as she landed on her balcony. She rushed into her room and began to rummage through her drawers, letting out a sigh of relief as she found the small black box. As she opened it, a bright light shone, revealing a small red and black dragon. 
"Ah, Marinette!" Longg smiled as he saw the bluenette. "How may I be of service?"

"We need your help."

"In what way?"

"I need you and Tikki to merge." She saw the look of surprise flash in Longg's eyes, before he nodded.

"I see." His gaze then shifted to Luka. "What about him?"

Marinette smiled. "Once we get the snake miraculous, he can transform." She told him.
Longg nodded before Marinette grabbed the dragon miraculous, clipping the necklace around her neck. 
"Longg. Tikki. Unify!"

A bright light once again flashed across the room. Once the light died down, Marinette was replaced by Dragon Bug.
"Wow."

Marinette jumped when she heard Luka's voice. "L-Luka! Don't scare me like that."
Marinette sighed as she walked up to Luka. "You ready?" She held out her hand.

"Of course."
