Moonlight

I wasn't able to sleep, and left the house to walk. We were in august, and there was no clouds in the sky. I walked to the field, to look at the crops and enjoy the wind.
In the middle of the field, there was a girl. Her face under the moonlight, she was singing. Her mouth moved in rythm with the wind, her high-pitched voice making sounds I didn't understand. The light was so intense I could only see the form of her face, and as the singing continued, she grew a tail. I didn't believe it at first, and laughed at my imagination. It is only when I looked at her forehead that I realized I was walking in her direction. Her long, elegant horns along with her green eyes looked at me, and I extended my arm to touch her. That is when I fell in love.
