Minho looked at Thomas, his eyes brimming with excitement.
"What is it?" Thomas asked.
Minho took a deep breath. "I - I saw a shank in there. Blond hair, orange t-shirt..."
Just then Percy ran back, he didn't know why. The description just struck him.
Minho's voice faltered. "Holy-" he bit back a curse.
"Camp Half-Blood...this shank right here...the t-shirt..." Minho mumbled.
"What? Come on, Minho, what about Percy?" Minho looked like his eye sockets were about to burst.
"Percy?" He shook his head in disbelief. "Are you kiddin' me?"
Thomas stared at him.
"That girl kept repeating that name!"
Minho breathed heavily.
"That girl...she was fighting with a dagger, killing them grieves like they're ants. Strange necklace on her neck - bead with a horse in a dress, one with this - this pointy spear thingy. Grey eyes, blonde hair, orang t-shirt, kept repeating this shank's name."
Percy stared at Minho. "Wait...do you know her name?"
Minho flinched. "Well, didn't ask her, but this book fell out of her bag - architecture. There was a name on it - Anabel? Annie? Something like that."
"Annabeth?" Percy offered.
Minho looked like he was short circuiting. "H-how do you know?"
Percy looked away, not knowing if he should say anymore. But he was really bad at keeping secrets.
"Look, I remember, 'Kay? I - I don't know...I remember what happened before I came here. There's too much too tell, but there were gods. Plural. Zeus, Hades, Poseidon..."
"Look here, shank, I don't know what you're talking about, but tell me later. I'm all ears."
Percy watched as Minho walked away and the maze opened.
