Chapter 5

Grover - Hey. Jess.

Jessica - Grover.

Grover - Still not talking to Percy?

I continue walking and Grover walks beside me.

Grover - It's been weeks since you two have talked, you and Annabeth have come to terms.

Jessica - Look, I told Percy that I wasn't in plans with Luke.

Grover - Come on. You two were lovey buddies--

Jessica - Oh, don't start Grover.

I exclaimed giving him a look of annoyance going to eat breakfast with all of the demigods.

Grover - How are you and Chris?

Jessica - Grover.

I say with not wanting to talk about Chris.

Grover - Don't push me away.

Jessica - Percy is fine without being friends with me. He can live on with his life and so can I.

Annabeth - Hey.

Jessica & Grover - Hey.

Annabeth - How you holding up, Jess?

Jessica - I'm fine. Why?

Annabeth - Just wanted to ask.

Jessica - How are you and Percy?

Annabeth - Oh, we're not together.

I raised my eyebrows and see Percy coming towards us.

Jessica - I have to go.

Annabeth - Ok.

Grover - Wh-- Jessica.

Percy - Hey guys.

Grover - You need to fix things between you two.

Percy - Grover. Not today man.

Annabeth - I'm tired of not being able to hang out with all of us.

Percy - Fine.

Third POV

Chris came to Jessica.

Percy - Look. I'm only doing it just so you two would stop whining.

Grover - Man. We're only saying because you two were good friends.

Percy - Not until Luke stole the lightning bolt and Zeus thought I stole it.

Annabeth - I thought you'd get over it by now. That was weeks ago, Percy.

Percy - Alright. Alright.

Percy walked to find Jessica, only to find Jessica and Chris together alone at her cabin.

Percy hears her laughs from outside.

Jessica's POV

Chris had me over his shoulder as I laughed.

Jessica - Come on Chris!

He set me down and sat beside me. I look to where there were footsteps in my cabin. I stand up to Percy coming in.

Percy - Can we talk?
