Chapter 35

Haneul was eating her breakfast when someone came to her from behind and sniffed her. "You smell a lot like Coups hyung." The person said. Haneul turned around in surprise. "Minghao oppa!" she was surprise.

Minghao took the empty seat next to her. "I see that you already blood bonded to Coups hyung." He took a bread and smeared a little bit of strawberry jam on it. "Blood...bonded? What's that?" she asked at him.

Minghao calmly chew down his bread. "Well, it happen when he drank your blood and you drank his. That's what we called blood bonding. It happens to all vampires, basically." He explained to her.

"Do I smell too much like him?" Haneul asked Minghao. He nodded, "But you can't wash it off no matter how hard you scrub your body. His scent on you proves that he already claimed you. You are his alone. And he's yours."

"I was planning to tell her that later, Minghao." S.Coups walked into the kitchen.

Minghao got up and bowed to him, "Hyung." S.Coups asked him to sit down. He sat two seat away from Haneul. "So where's the others?" S.Coups asked him.

"Woozi hyung is still asleep. DK, Vernon, Dino and Seungkwan went out for a run, probably for training. There rest, I'm not sure." Minghao said.

S.Coups nodded. He then looked at Haneul, "Come with me to my reading room after this." She nodded silently. S.Coups then turned to Minghao. "Please tell the others not to disturb us."

Minghao nodded his head, "As you wish, hyung."

Haneul silently followed S.Coups from behind. It's been a peaceful silent for them since the both of them left the kitchen. S.Coups opened the door to his reading room and let Haneul walk in first. S.Coups closed the door behind him. "Why do you need me in here?" Haneul asked him. "Hmmm...I don't know. I just got that feeling that you want to ask me something. Or am I wrong?" he asked her as he walked towards his reading table.

"Why now?" Haneul asked out of sudden. "Why now what?" S.Coups looked at her. She took the empty seat in front of him. "You used to hate me. Why only now you claim me as your mate?" she asked him.

S.Coups looked at her, "Do you expect me to go to a 5 years-old kid and claim her? Do you want me to drink your blood when you know nothing about us and our world? Would that make you feel better?" he asked. "Uhm...no. But you could show me some kindness if I'm really your mate, not being cold to me. I always keep a distance from you because I thought you hate me." Haneul said to him.

S.Coups sighed, "I did hate you in the past. I couldn't believe that my mate is a human. I don't want history to repeat. But as I watch you grow up, I came to like you, to love you a lot."

"You should tell me earlier, S.Coups oppa. I wouldn't fall in love with Mingyu oppa if you just tell me. I'm sure it hurts you a lot whenever I'm with Mingyu oppa." Haneul said.

S.Coups nodded, "Not just Mingyu. I was furious when I caught Woozi's scent on you. It was when you sleep in his room." "Oh, that..." was all Haneul said. "Now that we bonded together, no more sleeping in their room. It's either your room or mine, understood?" S.Coups asked as he looked at her. She sighed, "Whatever."

One of the glass window in the reading room suddenly shattered into pieces. Haneul let out a scream and S.Coups quickly went to her. "Are you okay?" he asked her. She nodded, "I'm okay. But why does the window break suddenly?" Haneul asked. "I don't know. Probably the boys are playing outside. You stay here, just to be safe. Let me check." S.Coups said before he walked closer to the window. A few steps away and suddenly a dark figure appeared standing on the window pane.

"Vampire!" S.Coups yelled.

The vampire showed his fangs and long nail before he jumped and aimed for Haneul. "Haneul, no!" S.Coups ran towards her but he's too far away.

"Don't worry!" Haneul swayed her hand and created an air shield around her. The vampire was sent back to the wall. S.Coups quickly went to the vampire and pinned him down. "Haneul, warn the others-"

PANGG!!

Another sound of glass shattering was heard followed by a loud voice. "AHHHHHHH!!!!"

"Minghao oppa!!" Haneul recognised the voice. "Haneul, go help them. Don't leave your shield no matter what!" S.Coups said. "What about you?" Haneul looked at him, "I'm a pureblood. I won't die easily. Now go!" S.Coups urged her. Haneul was hesitate at first but when she heard another scream from someone else, she knew that they were under some sort of attack. She knew she needs to help the others.

Haneul quickly ran out from the room.

S.Coups strangled the vampire. "You are not from here, aren't you?!" The vampire laughed out loud. "You know well where do we come from, Choi Seungcheol! You're one of us!" the vampire said. "I'm not like you guys!" with that S.Coups slit his throat and the vampire died in an instant.

"AHHHHH!!!" The house was filled with Haneul's high-pitched scream. "Haneul!!" S.Coups ran out from the room. He was surprise to see the condition of the mansion. Few dead bodies were at the living room. Jeonghan and Dino were downstairs, killing some vampires.

"Coups hyung! Find Haneul!!" Dino yelled when he swiftly saw him on the second floor. Without waiting for a moment, S.Coups ran towards their rooms.

"Die!!!" a vampire suddenly jumped out of nowhere. S.Coups created a fireball and burned his face. The vampire let out a painful scream. S.Coups then slit open his throat. "What's happening here?!" S.Coups quickly ran to find Haneul.

"Haneul! Haneul, where are you?!" he shouted.

"S.Coups oppa!!! Vernon oppa's room!" Haneul shouted.

S.Coups quickly ran into Vernon's room. He was shock when he found that Vernon and Haneul were surrounded with vampires. They were at least 15 of them.

"Oppa!" Haneul's face brightened a bit. Some vampire turned around to S.Coups. "Get him!" one of them ordered. They changed their target and straight away went for S.Coups. *there are too many of them!* S.Coups thought.

*I have to use that! Or else none of us will walk out alive.* he raised his hand and aimed towards the vampires. *come to me and taste my fire bullet!!*

S.Coups shot a fast-speed fire bullet from his finger directly towards the vampire's heart. One by one, the vampires were shot to death.

S.Coups panted. "Hyung, gwenchana?" Vernon quickly went to him. "Yeah, I'm okay." He answered. "Oppa." Haneul went to him. S.Coups sniffed something in the air. He looked at her in surprise. "You're bleeding!" Haneul looked at him in puzzle before she suddenly feel a pain on her arm. "I guess I am but that's not important. We need to find others." Haneul said. "You're right. Let's go!" S.Coups, Vernon and Haneul left the room.
