TAINTED | CHAPTER 16

Vadar

She was just as strong as me. Her arms tighten themselves around me and her body was pressed deeply against mine as she placed kisses all around my face. She had both her hands on my cheeks and kissed the skin in between my eyes and my forehead. " I always wanted to tell you, "She cried to me.

I thought I would have been the one having to explain what was happening, but it seemed like she knew. "What do you mean?" I asked at curiously returning her warm hug with my own.

Mark was sitting on the floor near the fireplace. He had been staring at me as soon as I walked into the door. He got up with a timid smile as my mother continued to caress me lovingly. He inched closer to me and her as he got up. He didn't say anything he kept quiet until I turned my attention to him.

"I missed you so much," She mushed. Valentina stood next to Arianna discussing something else in their own sidebar. She had looked back to the door nodding to it continuing her conversation.

I smiled at her returning a kiss on her forehead. " I missed you too. I'm so sorry for what happened to you that day. I didn't even know what was happening. I mean I can't say I would have done it another way. I don't want to ever lose you." I said looking into her eyes.

Her eyes had weld up as tears were going to fall but an understanding smile ran across it, "It's not your fault love. I knew something was going to happen around that time. I had been waiting for it. I was expecting a man to come for you, not her." She said looking back to Valentina.

That was the first time Val made a gaze back. She and Arianna walked back to us. Valentina had stayed by my side, but Arianna walked past us outside.

Valentina injected, " My father had let me come on his behalf. I do want to apologize if I had frightened you any. You were my first human I had come into proximity with without killing." I looked over to her and she gave me a smile.

"It's okay. I knew something wasn't right when Alexander was given to us. The man that gave us him wasn't human. No human person would just leave a baby in strangers' care that I know of. But I'm so glad he did." She smiled resting a hand on my cheek.

"I knew about your dad to Alex," she said taking a step back and grabbing hold to Mark's hand. Both stood together hand and hand. They looked like a very nice couple no older than twenty-five. My mom's skin was tight no wrinkles on her face or hands. Her hair was shiny and bouncy growing past her middle back like a young woman. She was very petite. "I know that a lot to take in, but we knew that we wanted to fight for you. This was the only way how. We were going to tell you, but she beat us to it." Her eyes flicked back over to Valentina.

"Why didn't you tell me way before a week before anything like this would have happened? I could have been way more prepared!" My voice started to increase in volume. I tried to keep maintain it to an appropriate level so I wouldn't scare anyone.

"Honestly, honey when we were doing our research, we thought we were going crazy. I thought you were a demon at first, but we didn't care we were going to love every bit of you." She said looking at Mark.

"The bastard King a bloody demon. He wishes he was one of our bloods," Arianna laughed aloud returning in with Kleitos. He was by her side and stood taller than everyone in the building.

He made my once human father look feeble in comparison to him. He entered the room with a serious expression on. With him entering followed a massive influx of control energy. His whole being demanded attention in silence.

Looking around a bit we watched as he made his way to my mother. Kleitos took her hand and kissed it softly saying, "It can never be expressed how grateful I am for your sacrifices for my blood."

She looked up to him then to Mark and then me, "Who is this?"

Heartily he responded, "Stavos is my child," he expressed looking back to me and singling me to go forward to him. I followed his instruction and walked under his arm, and he placed it on myself.

Mark's eyes were still on mine this whole interaction and when I had gone under the arm of Kleitos he had felt compelled to speak, "Well, Alexander is our child as well. I know you might have made him but this one is ours." He said stepping in front of my mother.

Kleitos looked at him with a raised brow, " I understand you may feel an attachment to him; however, I was answering the question. I am," He said with authority in his voice, "Stavo's father. I was trying to do the human thing and introduce myself, so you'd know to not fear."

Mark then looked him up and down took a step toward me, " Son, I have missed you a lot. I know this a lot," He has started.

"I missed you," I mumbled and that earned a look from Kleitos.

Kleitos wrapped his arm around me and looked Mark in the eye, "I will let you all get caught up. However, it'd be a better use of our time if we go to practice. We should make use of the area while everyone is sleeping. The ex-human father can be my first sparring partner to show an example of my strength Starvos."

Arianna had started to chuckle under her breath as she watched with me. "I'll bring Bomani out as well. Hell might as well as Kleitos said. Do any of you have any abilities that need to be tested?" She said looking to my mother and my father's mark.

"I think, maybe..." My mother said timidly, "When I woke up something happen it was like a floating and then before I could even think about it the more, I fell to the ground." She said looking over to Arianna.

Arianna returned her gaze with a small smile, " Impressive for an elguto most don't acquire any specialties when they enter their new life." She turned her attention to Mark, "how about you father of Alexander." She smiled taunting him. Kleitos chuckled at her remark.

"I'll show you once we're out there, " he said sharply.
