19: Reader x Karna 2| We're A Family

"I said stay where I can see you!" you huffed with arms crossed as your sister was splayed against the ground where she had fallen "what if you got really hurt? Huh?!"

"I-I'm sorry....!!!!" She wailed clinging to your leg

You leaned your head back and, pinching the bridge of your nose, groaned loudly. This was so embarrassing.

Your little sister, Celeste, had begged and begged, bugged and bugged, for you to take her to the park. Since the grail had chosen your both to be joint masters for it's cruel existence you had taken to rarely leaving the house – for safety reasons.

Well, YOU left eh house...Celeste was not allowed.

And you, being the best big sister ever, felt absolutely guilty and terrible about it. Celeste had been a good girl for days and normally didn't ask for much at all. But she suddenly had to go to the park or else she would die – at least, that's how she dramatically had put it.

So you caved. You convinced your joint servant to accompany you both to the closest park with a playground, in case of trouble, for a few hours.

The second you had arrived though, Celeste had very excitedly ripped herself away from the both of you and rushed to the other kids screaming. You had recognized a few of the children as kids from her classes and had yelled to her to stay in your eyesight. Only when you and your lancer had picked a good spot to keep an eye on your sister did your ears prick to a loud display in your sister's voice and rushed over.

And here you stood with your sister now with a bandaged scrapped knee, clinging to your legs and wailing like a four yr old

"Celeste, come on, you're being embarrassing...you're fine. Just...just go play with your friends. And don't leave our eye sight" you tried coaxing her off your legs to no avail.

You could hear snickering, though not in the audial sense. Turning your now marooning face towards the bench that you had left Karna, you saw him with an amused smile.

OF COURSE HE THOUGHT THIS WAS FUNNY!!

Tho almost immediately after you could 'hear' his remark about not remembering he was there to witness it all. You silently wished he'd just get lost.

But instead, the opposite happened.

Karna stood up and graced your lucky, embarrassed self with his presence.

"now, now, Celeste..." Karna scolded in a quiet and soft tone as he stopped beside you then knelt beside your sister "let go of (name)" he reached his arms around her own and gently pried her off only for her to immediately turn and cling to him.

He hadn't seemed bothered in the least and brought her in for a small hug and stood up with her within his arms

"now, you need to stay where we can see you master...remember how we told you about the bad guys?" he kept his voice low so that nobody else could hear the conversation.

Celeste rubbed her left eye and nodded with a sniffle

"good girl" he smiled taking one of his hands and, using his thumb, gently rubbed away the tears on her right cheek he turned around to face the playground then set her down gently, fixed her skirt so it was free of loose dirt from the fall then gently pushed her forward "go play"
