26: Master!Reader x Gawain | Knight of the Sun

hellocats123hi I was really unsure what to do with this boy XD So I have some stuff from the FGO sixth singularity that fueled this!

You were unsure where you were. The sun was blindingly hot as it blazed somewhere above you. You dared not to look up – in fear that your eyes would melt right out of your skull from the ferocity of the sun's rays.

You forced your legs to move, though they felt heavy and screamed in pain. You seemed so tired, exhaustion was severely hindering your movement. Yet you pressed on, your feet gliding in the loose sand below your bare toes. Your feet burned and ached, it was just so hot.

How did you get here? Were you not in your bed just moments ago?

Your face scrunched up as you looked just beyond your feet. It was the best you could do with such bright light hindering your view. It was hard to remember...

Your hand clenched your night gown as it swished against your knees. You were in your pajamas...you must have been in your bed. You must be remembering right.

So then why? Why were you out in this godforsaken sand? You stopped for a moment hearing a hissing noise. It was growing louder and louder. At first you were afraid it was a snake...but it was getting so loud that that fear quelled. Only to be replaced by another, as you looked up you saw a large funnel of sand.

Your eyes went wide and you quickly dropped to your knees. You weren't told what to do in a sandstorm, but years of movies and books gave you the inkling to made sure your face was covered.

The hissing stopped.

You waited for a good ten minutes before you moved.

And when you pulled yourself out of your folded up fetal state you felt the cool stone beneath your feet.

"h...how...?" you mumbled confused

It wasn't as bright, you noticed, as your eyes followed the edge of the stone to find another stone, and another. It was a floor. You were in a building!

You looked up and saw a large table before you. Confused, you tilted your head and used it to pull yourself up. The great wooden table was round and intricate...several chairs were set around it and you noticed that you were standing between two of them.

Wait, how many chairs were there? It seemed like there were so many...

"thirteen...why so many...?" you mumbled

Your wondering aloud though, was hushed as you heard footfalls coming closer. There was several people walking this way, your gaze following the sound and rushing a head of their relaxed pace to the door in the corner of the room.

"they're coming in here" you whispered to yourself before you ducked under the table and hid. You had no time to find somewhere better. You just had to hope that nobody looked below.

You could hear the men, as you deemed them from their tones, talking about themselves aimlessly. Some broken conversation seemed joking in manner, some seemed businesslike and others seemed annoyed. You closed your eyes and hoped they'd keep going...but as you suspected the door swung open

"come, let us sit." A voice called out seemingly the first in the room "our king should be down shortly, or so that mage has told me"
