One day the Prince informed Angel that he was scheduled to attend a conference with a few knights from another kingdom.  She thought nothing of it.  When the day came she was very sick and did not wish to go out.  The prince screamed at her and forced her to go despite how ill she was.  She took the journey to his kingdom.  She sat outside of his castle waiting as the prince finished getting ready.  It was a very windy day and she did not want to go to the meeting at all.  But again she had no choice.  The wind caught her long brown hair and it danced sweetly in the wind as it blew across her face.  She turned quickly away from the wind and saw a man there staring at her.  She smiled nervously at him and inside she thought how cute and sweet he looked.  He smiled at her and they started to talk a little until the prince came out of his castle.

"Oh I see you have already met." The prince said as he approached them.  Angel looked up at the prince confusion in her eyes.  "Princess Angel, this is Sir Hate." The prince said introducing her to the knight that they were to meet with.  Angel nodded respectfully to the Hate.  She felt like such a fool.  How could she even consider flirting with another man.  She was so embarrassed of her behavior she immediately went quiet.  But she couldn't help that, that did not stop Hate from looking at her.  She didn't quite understand that.  She started to think she was merely imagining things but the real question was, Was she?  Before she could get a answer to her question they headed to the meeting area.  With Sir Hate was Prince Dunes, and Princess Ellen.

They all headed out together on the journey to the sacred meeting spot.  It was a dangerous journey.  Along the way they came across a large cliff.  There was only one way across, it was a long, wobbly, and unstable bridge.  Angel bit her lip in fear as she watch the others start to cross.  She slowly began to follow.  As the bridge swayed beneath her she froze in fear and no longer moved.  The others continued on for a bit before noticing she had stopped.  Her Prince looked at her and rolled his eyes as he saw the sheer fear in her eyes.  "Angel you are embarrassing me.  Get over here right now." He screamed at her as she trembled frozen in fear.  He started to make fun of her and call her all kinds of horrible names to try to get her to come across but still she found herself unable to move.  He continued to scream at her and she began to cry.  "Don't cry Princess here... please allow me to help you" Hate said stretching out his hand towards her.  She looked up in shock seeing he had come back for her.  She bit her lip gently as she looked deep into his kind, caring eyes.  He smiled sweetly at her and she put her hand in his.  The prince continued screaming at her but she no longer seemed to notice as Hate spoke softly to her trying to keep her mind off of what they were doing.  Before she knew it they were on the across the bridge.  "I knew you could do it." He said sweetly and smiled at her.  She blushed softly and looked down.  The Prince walked over between them and yelled at her for being such a child.  "I'm sorry I was frightened." She said softly trying to defend herself.  He looked at her angrily as she spoke.  She had never defended herself with him before.  Something had changed.  He started to storm off angrily away from her towards the meeting spot.  She quietly followed.

The meeting finished with no more excitement.  Angel climbed up into her carriage to return to her castle the entire time thinking about the Knight and his kind eyes.  Of course she would never dare to speak what was running through her mind, despite the prince constantly yelling at her and asking her what was wrong with her.  He seemed to treat her worse.  Time didn't help the situation.  Something within her had changed.  She had seen something she had never seen before and her actions seemed to reflect that.

A few days later they heard from the Knight once again.  This time inviting the Prince and Princess to his kingdom.  Angel had kept in contact with Princess Ellen since their first meeting.  Somehow she had found a princess a lot like herself, different, but in a good way.  In a way similar to her own.  The Princess convinced Angel to wear a beautiful white dress to the meeting.  Little did Angel know that it was a dress that Princess Ellen was convinced that Knight Hate would love.  Angel agreed and soon the day came for her and the Prince to make the long journey to the far away kingdom.
