Til we crumble

Til the sky turns to dust
And returns eternal dusk
I will love you til we crumble
In pieces I'll remain the same
In the corners of my mind
I'll hang a tiny little frame
A decor of floral theme
Encompassed in menagerie
I will love you all the same
When the blood stops flowing
And my heartbeat freezes
Should these eyes cease glowing
And my lungs not see a reason
To keep breathing
Should it drain from the fibers
Of my being as I creak and slow
Growing weak and cold
And the reaper shows
With scythe and all
And rights to call
My spirit to the other side
I'd refuse to take an eye
Off of you, for I would brood
Refuse to spend eternity alone
Without the comfort of your palm
And its linings lacing mine
Or the warmth of its touch
Roaming without
Would be too much
I feel it in my bones
My skeleton would crawl
Out of my skin to be with yours
Clattering and shaking
Clawing it's way to you
Til it crumbles
