Where our crowns lie...

Shadows
Such lifeless, creatures
Mimickry to a tee
They were never meant to breathe
Pursue us through future
Unraveled were the sutures
Stitching detached
From the fibers
Creatures of the night
Melded by the truth
Along with an insatiable urge
To prod insecurities
Mingle with fear
Wrapping its hands
Around anxieties slender waist
Enamored by the allure of uncertainty
The havoc it could wreak
Pressing lips with instability
Lips he did not seek
The ones crafted for thine
Missing in this blackened haze
Arms waving frantically
Swiping at the cloudy mist
Lost within the dark
Scared and alone
He stared into the hole
The abyss of black
Waiting for a sound
A footstep or a hint
Of a scent within the wind
The grass blades sway
In shades of blue and grey
Moonlight wanting in
Joining in the fray
Whispering our sins
Covering my ears
They heard it all before
The jealousy of others
Hatred in their souls
Unto her he'd sworn
Solemnly as her king
To wear his crown proud
Stand tall to any peril
Any spirit that were feral
With gritting teeth, letting fire blaze
Pushing back the blackened haze
Burning in fervor
The smoky aura came to fade
And into view the kings crown came
Amongst the mist, on the ground it lay
Heading in its direction
Straightening his cloak
He kneels unto the ground
With a gentle hand
Lifting the black crown
Returning it to its rightful place
Standing once again
Breathing deep
He exhales and roars to the skies
Planting his feet hard to the earth
Shaking the soils, calling to his queen
Signaling
That her king cometh
