Yup it's Turkey day today. Don't worry ch2 will be coming out before the end of the week but before that enjoy this Turkey Day special.

I sighed as Mari and I walked through the produce department of the grocery store. Why am I here with her easy I said I'd help out with bringing groceries home. Mom, dad, and father where in different areas of the store. Father was looking at meats with dad over at the meat counter while mom was getting together herbs, spices, and a few other things as well. "So why are we having such a big trip to the grocery store?" I asked Mari
"Turkey day is in a week Lloyd and we need to get everything ready for the meal. You get the celery I need to get the brussel sprouts" Mari told me
"Turkey Day?" I asked confused
"Why -oh right. Well you see Lloyd turkey day is a celebration that began over in the United States when people first settled into Jamestown but because they didn't know much about the land several starved to death. But thanks to the local Native Americans they finally prospered and the first harvest was celebrated with a feast to give thanks for everything. But years later it became a world wide holiday called Turkey day and sure we give thanks for everything that has happened to us this year but we also use the holiday to spend time with family and friends" Mari Explained
"Ah huh?" I said not really getting it as I inspected two celery bunches.
This continued with the potatoes, yams, green beans, and onions. Since we lived above a bakery we'd be able to manage things such as the pies and the like. "Mari, Lloyd" We turned around to see Zane
"Zane" We both said
"I wasn't expecting to see either of you here" Zane said
"And us you I mean yeah we expected Sensei Garmadon, but not you or the others" Mari said
"Well they are here actually" Zane said mater of factly
"Joy" I sighed
"So what are you doing here?" Zane asked
"Getting things for Turkey day" Mari said
"Turkey day?" Zane asked
I gave him a shortened explaination of the holiday. "Ah I see" Zane said
I could hear his gears and cogs turning inside of his body. "Well in that case it's a good thing the others came with me I'll be needing the hands to carry everything home" Zane said walking away I could clearly see a smile painted across his face.
I shivered remembering all the hands on deck shopping sprees Zane would take us on back in Ninjago they usually happened once every six months and no one really looked forward to it. "Glad I'm with you guys" I told Mari
"Why?" Mari asked as she placed a sack of potatoes into the shopping cart.
"I'm spared from Zane's bi-yearly shopping sprees" I answered with a shudder
"What's so bad about his sprees?" Mari asked
"Sometimes we all swore he buys out the entire store" I flatly responded
"Oh" Mari said her face clearly showing her surprise
We then rondevous with mom, dad, and father who'd gotten a turkey, oysters, chives, thyme, and a few other things. We got through the check out line just as Zane was pulling Cole behind him heading towards the dairy section.
"I'd better go keep him under control." Father said,
"You sure Garmadon?" Dad asked
" I'm sure besides someone needs to reign him in. See you all Thursday" Father said walking in the direction of Zane and Cole
