The air was filled was the sound of Roaring as Kion showed his daughter some of the things the Roar could do.  Not everything; that was reserved for when she was ready to truly master the Roar.  But he was impressed.  This Roar was much stronger than his.  If it was any stronger, he worried he wouldn't be able to move.

"Risasi?"  He called.

"What is it, Dad?"  She asked.

"See that cloud up there?"  Kion pointed to a dark cloud with his tail.  Should he really be getting her to summon rain with how powerful her Roar is?  It almost killed Beshte when he did it, but there was no one around.  "Roar at it."

His daughter looked at him like he was crazy, but obliged, Roaring at the cloud.  The cloud expanded and started raining.  Lightning started coming down.  The cloud suddenly deflated and it stopped raining.

"I should get back to the Night Pride," Risasi panted.  She regained her posture quickly.  Risasi definitely had Rani's spirit in her.  It was similar to Fuli's, but still a little different.  And why Rani and Fuli got along so well.  But Risasi was more like when Rani's scar was bothering her.  Rani's scar.  What would happen to his daughter if she got a scar like his?  It shortened his temper by a lot.  Risasi wouldn't be able to handle much.

"Right," Kion's voice sounded distant.  Risasi looked at her dad worriedly, but she wouldn't ask.  He had been losing his temper more easily the past few days.

Fermet stood up, watching Risasi arrive.  She seemed exhausted, but that didn't stop her from shaking herself and speaking.

"Are you all ready to go on patrol?"  She asked.

"Are you ready?"  Fermet asked.  "You look exhausted."

"I'm fine!" Risasi snapped.

"I can lead the Night Pride," Fermet offered, trying to keep calm.  "You need your sleep."

"I'll go with you for a little bit," Risasi said.  "Then I'll come back and sleep."

"Got it," Fermet agreed.

"Let's go, then!"  Vovchak exclaimed.

The Night Pride set out.  The ground was really wet, so Risasi was walking closer to the streambed than the rest of the Pride.  Her paw slipped and she ended up falling into the water.

"Oh no!"  Vue exclaimed, seeing Risasi fall in.  "Risasi!"

Vue lowered himself and reached out a talon.  Risasi attempted to grab on, but her paw was too big.  The water slowed down, and she managed to get onto the shore.  It was moving too fast for her to cross, though.

"Risasi!"  Harako exclaimed.

"It's fine," she said.  "Meet me at the north edge of the tundra!  I can cross there!"

"Got it!"  Fermet said.

Risasi started walking until she bumped into a snow leopard.

"Hello," the snow leopard said.

"Hello," Risasi echoed, her voice icy.

"No need to sound so mad," the snow leopard said, "Risasi, leader of the Night Pride."

"You know me?"  Risasi started walking again.

"Only by reputation, but that mark on your shoulder's a giveaway." the snow leopard answered.  "I'm Zori.  I can help you get to your beloved Tree faster."

"I think I've got it," Risasi said.  "And why would you help me, snow leopard?"

"It's Zori," the snow leopard corrected.  "And because I want you out of my territory."
